In today’s ecological environment is getting more and more attention, the ecological environment situation of mines is not optimistic. The main method of mine ecological restoration is bioremediation, and the main method of bioremediation is planting vegetation.Although soil moisture has an irreplaceable role in vegetation and soil moisture content can directly reflect soil moisture, there is little research on soil moisture content in the ecological restoration area of mines, and the south bank of Dianchi is the key area of mine ecological restoration in Yunnan Province in recent years. Therefore, the soil moisture content of four mines on the south bank of Dianchi was used as the research object,in order to provide data support and theoretical support for the ecological restoration of more than 60 mines on the south bank of Dianchi to be closed down for ecological restoration, and to provide reference for other ecological restoration work. The main understandings are as follows.(1)The significance of 8 major categories with 31 sub-categories of influence factors on the ecological restoration work of mines on the south bank of Dianchi was analyzed by the constructed physical element model, which proved that the study of soil water content is the key to the ecological restoration work on the south bank of Dianchi.(2)The measurement results showed that: with the increase of depth, the soil water content of the first layer of sloping land and gentle land did not change much in autumn and winter, continued to decrease in spring, and continued to increase in summer;the soil water content of the second layer of gentle land continued to increase in autumn, did not change much in winter and spring, and slightly increased in summer;the main factors affecting the soil water content of the mine ecological restoration area on the south bank of Dianchi are rainfall, season and soil depth.(3)Using the polynomial function equation obtained by MATLAB,the effects of soil depth and season on the soil water content of the mine ecological restoration area on the south bank of Dianchi in three different annual average rainfall areas can be deduced;based on the fitting results, the trend of soil water content change is further analyzed: temporally, the soil water content of the year is wavy,in descending order of summer, autumn, winter and spring;spatially, the soil water content of the mine ecological restoration area on the south bank of Dianchi increases continuously in autumn and slightly in spring.Spatially, soil water content increases with the increase of annual average precipitation and soil depth.(4)Based on the above study, combined with the project examples such as the ecological restoration of sand and gravel mines in the Pass slope,we concluded that the vegetation adaptation of the ecological restoration of mines on the south bank of Dianchi: the preliminary vegetation selection work,in the area of average annual rainfall of 1100mm~1200mm,more large tree vegetation with higher water demand was selected for the gentle land, and shrubs, vines and herbaceous vegetation were selected for the sloping land,in the area of average annual rainfall of 900mm~ 1000 mm and 1000mm~1100mm,small trees and shrubs with smaller water demand are selected on gentle land, while conventional vine and herbaceous vegetation are selected on the slope;later vegetation nurturing work should focus on spring and winter, increasing the number of observations and watering.
