Today,with the prevailing knowledge system of western art and the diversification of various styles,how to make our unique traditional art models useful in contemporary sculpture creation? As well as how to balance the differences between Eastern and western aesthetic modeling,inheritance,application and innovation is one of the primary artistic topics and research directions for contemporary artists to explore.By exploring the development and extension of "form" and "God" in traditional sculpture language as the main research direction,this paper takes the dialectical relationship between "form" and "God" as the object to explain,in order to better inherit the traditional sculpture modeling language in contemporary sculpture application analysis and exploration.This paper mainly studies through four chapters.Firstly,it discusses the definition and expression of "form" and "God" in sculpture,starting from the development of "form" and "God" in Chinese traditional art.This paper conducts an in-depth study on the differences of "form and spirit" in important periods and representative works,and further explores the dialectical relationship between "form" and "spirit" in traditional Chinese sculpture language.Then,the application of "form" and "God" in Chinese and Western sculpture language is analyzed,and the differences between the two ideas and artistic techniques are compared.Finally,combining with the cases of outstanding artists and my graduation creation,the paper analyzes the possibility development trend of "form" and "God" in traditional art in contemporary art creation.
