This article focuses on the expression of "scholar spirit" in Chinese traditional culture in contemporary sculpture works,and focuses on the analysis of its spiritual connotation in contemporary sculpture creation.By analyzing the connotation,historical evolution,basic characteristics and contemporary significance of "scholar spirit" in traditional culture,and combining with the exploration of the form of expression of traditional cultural spirit in contemporary sculpture works,this paper explores the influence of Chinese traditional cultural spirit on the trend of contemporary sculpture creation.Combining my own practice in sculpture creation,the author understands and understands the deep connotation of "scholar spirit",realizes the application of learning in practice,and finally promotes the in-depth integration between theory and practice.The text is divided into three parts.The first part is mainly about the interpretation and contemporary significance of "scholar spirit" in Chinese traditional culture.The second part is the form exploration of the expression of traditional cultural spirit in the creation of contemporary Chinese sculpture art.It states the absorption and application of traditional cultural spirit in the creation of contemporary sculpture art from two aspects: the modeling language of sculpture body and the selection of subject matter content.The third part is the exploration of the works of "The Spirit of Scholar" in the expression of the "Spirit of Scholar".The author mainly expresses it from the creative ideas of the works,the absorption of the "Spirit of Scholar" in the creative process and the thinking of its application.
