In the history of Chinese painting, the landscape painting in Song and Yuan Dynasties was in a transition period of maturity and change. The change of the form of spatial depth led to the evolution of the spatial expression of landscape painting in Song and Yuan dynasties. Therefore, the theory of "Three Far methods" in Song and Yuan dynasties was taken as the object to explore the evolution of the spatial expression of landscape painting in Song and Yuan Dynasties. The first half of this paper traces the development of the theory of "three far methods" in the Song and Yuan dynasties and analyzes the theory of the three "three far methods" separately. With the replacement of "great mountains" with "mountains greater than mountains" with "wood and trees greater than people",the formation of Guo Xi’s theory of "Three Far Law" was laid down.On the basis of this theory,Han Zhuo and Huang Gongwang expressed their views on the theory of "three far Law" respectively, which further developed the spatial consciousness in the Song and Yuan dynasties. The middle part of the paper to explore the "three far method" in landscape painting visual presentation way and change, analysis Guo Xi,Han Zhuo,Huang Gong wang three "three far method" specific visual presentation,to analyze the song yuan landscape painting space change is from "high" to "far",the change because not only the north and south geographical environment change,or the change of spatial consciousness and the influence of brushwork on space. The second half of this paper analyzes the aesthetic interest of Song and Yuan dynasties to seek the influence of aesthetic thought on the spatial expression of landscape painting in Song and Yuan dynasties. This paper takes the spatial theory of "three far methods" as the exploration point, combines the painting history, painting theory and ancient painting works, and uses the qualitative research method to explore the evolution of the spatial expression of song and Yuan landscape paintings. The "three far methods" not only contains the macro spatial expression of "watching objects" presented by the change of flexible viewpoints, but also contains the micro spatial expression of "looking up and overlooking" in the space that people are in.By studying the theory of "three far methods" in the Song and Yuan dynasties,we understand how the painters used the spatial theory of "three far methods" in the Song and Yuan period to observe nature and express nature, and explore the influence of the spatial consciousness contained in it on the change of the visual presentation of spatial expression.
