Study On The Expression Form Of Traditional Garden Elements In Contemporary Watercolor Painting

Traditional garden is a precious cultural heritage of China,is a part of Chinese traditional culture,is a unique cultural form of China,has always occupied an important position in Chinese traditional art.Moreover,Chinese traditional garden not only carries the unique aesthetic pursuit of Chinese literati,but also contains literati thoughts,expression of artistic conception and philosophy,aesthetic consciousness and composition form,which still have rich research value in contemporary times.In the contemporary trend of today’s social culture,the development of art is also showing diversification.Under the current trend,artists’ thinking on art and culture is worth exploring,how to inherit,carry forward and innovate the local culture.The garden is one of the representatives of Chinese local culture.The painter arouses the memory and culture of the nation through constant exploration and experiment of garden painting.However,for garden watercolor painting,there are few watercolor paintings with garden theme.In many ways,the application of traditional garden elements in contemporary watercolor painting has more important research significance.It is easier for artists to find a way of expression in line with contemporary watercolor painting by exploring garden culture deeply.Through searching materials and reading books,the author studies and analyzes the expression forms,the spiritual world and the history of garden watercolor.With the development of The Times and the emergence of new painting materials and media,garden painting is also under constant influence.The painting way and expression form of watercolor are also changing.In terms of color expression,form composition and material media,this diversified painting language can break the limitations of traditional watercolor painting thinking and greatly expand the creation space.It opens up artists’ creative vision,and plays a positive role in promoting the expression of thoughts and emotions and the enhancement of aesthetic concepts.This paper focuses on the expression of traditional Chinese garden watercolor painting in the current era.The whole paper is divided into six sections.The first section explains the level and background of current domestic research,the significance and purpose of this topic as well as the ways and methods of research.The second section is about the transformation from garden to garden painting,so as to discuss the historical background of garden construction and the spiritual connotation of garden.The third section discusses the expression ways of garden elements in the context of contemporary watercolor painting,and gives specific examples of watercolor artists to analyze their breakthroughs in the picture expression language of garden watercolor painting.The fourth section is still to analyze how traditional gardens can be presented in a contemporary way by giving examples of gardens created by artists,and how the language diversity of watercolor painting can be reflected.The fifth section analyzes the realistic significance of contemporary garden watercolor painting,which is the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese culture represented by garden,the exploration of artists who break through and establish,the innovative spirit not bound by tradition,and the development trend of watercolor localization.The sixth section is the creation practice and understanding of personal garden watercolor painting,from the inspiration of personal creation to the exploration of garden watercolor creation.
