"Sentence Completion" is the first part of the New HSK Level 5.Compared with the two questions of "Determiner Writing" and "Picture Writing" in the second part,the question of "Sentencce Completion" has a richer vocabulary and involves more complicated grammatical knowledge.The sentence pattern is an important content in modern Chinese grammar,which is not only the key and difficult point of "Sentencce Completion" tests in the new HSK Level 5,but also the difficult point for candidates in the preparation process.Therefore,this paper takes 30 sets of the real questions in the new HSK Level 5 as the research texts,analyzes the grammar test site of "Sentencce Completion",and focuses on the in-depth study of sentence patterns,hoping to provide some help for candidates to review the New HSK Level 5 test and teachers’ teaching.The structure of this paper consists of the following five parts:The introduction part expounds the background and significance of the topic,summarizes the research status of the new HSK writing part of the test questions and the "Sentencce Completion" test questions in the new HSK Level 5,and introduces the concept definition and theoretical basis of the topic,as well as the research ideas,research methods,innovations and corpus sources of this paper.The first chapter analyzes the basic situation and examination content of "Sentencce Completion" question type in the new HSK Level 5.Firstly,this chapter introduces the purpose,form and characteristics of "Sentencce Completion" question in the new HSK Level 5.Then sort out the test sites of "Sentencce Completion" in 30 sets of level 5 real questions,analyze 65 grammar items examined in the test questions,and count the frequency of each grammar item,from which it is found that the sentence pattern is the test site with the highest frequency of "sentence completion" questions in the new HSK Level 5,so as to determine it as the research object of this paper,and sort out and summarize the key sentence patterns and their examination characteristics in the real questions.In the second chapter,questionnaires and interviews are used to conduct an examination-oriented investigation of "Sentencce Completion" questions in the new HSK Level 5.Mainly for the sentence patterns sorted out in the first chapter,the questionnaire is conducted,and then the survey results are sorted out and analyzed,combined with case interviews to further understand the reasons for the problems of candidates and the preparation methods.According to the analysis results of the survey,we can know that most students don’t realize that the exam questions are about a certain sentence type,or they do realize that they have made mistakes in word order.It can be seen that the examinee’s grasp of the specific meaning and structure of sentence patterns is not firm enough.At the same time,through interviews,it is known that candidates will subconsciously translate into their own mother tongue when answering "Sentencce Completion" questions in the new HSK Level 5,so the negative transfer of mother tongue is also an important factor affecting candidates’ answering questions.The third chapter puts forward corresponding strategies for teachers’ teaching and candidates’ preparation and answering questions according to the analysis results of the survey.For teachers’ teaching,we suggest paying attention to the teaching of word order and special sentence patterns,and making comprehensive use of various teaching methods to strengthen students’ understanding of knowledge.For students to prepare for the exam,we put forward to consolidate basic vocabulary of the Level 5,pay attention to sentence pattern learning and use real or simulated questions.The author also puts forward answering skills and strategies for candidates from three aspects: finding markers,grammar and writing.The conclusion part summarizes the research of this paper,analyzes the shortcomings of this paper,and points out the problems encountered in the research process and the direction of future efforts. |
