Prefixes are a common linguistic feature of Hmong and have always attracted the attention of academic circles and are also the focus of academic research. At present, the results of affix research are fruitful, but the research objects are mainly Chinese, for ethnic languages, especially Miao, the research prefixes are almost all focused on word formation, and experts and scholars do not have a consistent understanding of the nature of Miao prefixes, both preliminaries, predicate components,or predicate articles. As an important word-forming component of vocabulary, the detailed description of the prefix is conducive to the study of Hmong vocabulary and grammar, and can provide some substantive reference for future generations to study Hmong. The article is divided into seven parts:The introduction part mainly discusses the object and significance of the research in this paper, the research status, the research theory and method, and the source of the corpus. The first chapter is an overview of the prefixes of the Miao language, and describes the prefix distribution ranges of the three major dialects of Hmong and the sub-dialects of northeastern Yunnan from different perspectives. It was found that each language had a prefix for a part or part of a table; All have a prefix for table things, prominent parts,or clustered things; There are table actions that prefix each other, etc.,and these prefixes also have a certain occurrence relationship.Chapter 2describes the structure and phonetic features of Hmong prefixes and roots.By describing the structural forms of prefixes and roots of various dialects of the Miao language,it is found that the structural forms of prefixes and roots in the indigenous languages of all parties are mainly two-syllable form,three-syllable form,four-syllable form and some special multi-syllable forms. The phonetic characteristics of prefixes and roots include binaural type, superimposed rhyme type, homophonic type, superimposed rhyme homology, and other structures.Chapter 3 discusses the word-forming patterns of Hmong prefixes. The morphological patterns of derived nouns, derived verbs, derived adjectives, derived adjectives, and derived pronouns were analyzed.Among them, there are eight morphological patterns of derived nouns: "prefix + noun morpheme","prefix + morpheme","prefix + verb","prefix + quantifier morpheme","prefix + numerical morpheme","prefix + verb-object structure","prefix+ indicator","prefix + azimuth morpheme",etc.Chapter 4 discusses the pragmatic function of Hmong prefixes, which is manifested in distinguishing homophones, enhancing the beauty of language flow and expressing subjective feelings,as well as distinguishing real words, classification functions and grammaticalization functions.Chapter 5 compares the internal dialects, subdialects, and some indigenous languages of the Hmong language, and finds that the prefixes of the Hmong language are all monosyllabic in phonetic types, and the vowels have two types: unit vowels and complex vowel vowels and vowels predominate. The tone is mainly flat and flat, and the semantic type is manifested as the different phonetic forms of the prefixes used for the same semantics without language points, and the same language point will also use multiple phonetic forms of prefixes to express the same semantics. The morphological inflection is mainly manifested in the noun overlapping morphological change and adverbial overlapping morphological change in Shimen Kanmiao dialect, and the verb overlapping morphological change in the Layiping Miao dialect. The epilogue section is a summary of the entire paper.
