| Xixia was a local separatist regime established by the Dangxiang ethnic group as the ruling ethnic group.It had been established with the Liao,Song,and Jin dynasties for 190 years until it was destroyed by the Mongolian army in 1227 AD.As a fundamental building component,Xixia tiles are an important component of Xixia architecture.The unearthed quantity of Xixia tiles is large and the types are diverse.They are important physical materials for studying Xixia architecture and play an important role in studying ancient Chinese traditional architecture.This article discusses the main research object of tile in Xixia unearthed from archaeological excavations.Firstly,the Xixia tiles are divided into three categories:animal patterned tiles,flower patterned tiles,and other patterned tiles.Based on this,the classification of Xixia tiles is studied,and an attempt is made to study the stages of Xixia tiles,dividing them into early and late stages.Secondly,summarize the characteristics of Xixia tile,compare and study Xixia tile with Liao Dynasty tile,Song Dynasty tile,and Jin Dynasty tile,and analyze the similarities and differences between the four.Finally,explore the hidden Buddhist cultural factors,Central Plains traditional cultural factors,and Dangxiang cultural factors in the Xixia tile.The tiles in Xixia is an innovative architectural component in Xixia architecture that inherits and develops the architectural culture of the Central Plains,combined with the ethnic characteristics of the Dangxiang ethnic group and its own ethnic group.It reflects the diverse and integrated evolution pattern of the Chinese nation. |
