Interaction is an important category of the Marxist materialist conception of history and a way of being specific to man, which can be seen as both a prerequisite for material production and understood as the link between the transformation of human social forms, the development of which is consistent with the development of man himself. It is therefore essential to examine the question of freedom from the perspective of Marx’s theory of interaction. On the one hand, the existence of human beings as subjects of interaction is necessary for the formation of interaction, and the development of society and the transformation of forms of interaction are closely linked to the development of subjects of interaction; On the other hand, the ultimate aim of the change in the form of interaction is to achieve the full development of human freedom, and the individual’s full possession of the relationship of interaction is the expression of his own freedom,so the development of interaction and the realisation of freedom are actually consistent. At present,in the face of the crisis of "reverse globalisation",we should use Marx’s theory of interaction to provide theoretical guidance for the construction of great power diplomacy with Chinese characteristics,to guide the community of human destiny, and to lay a solid foundation for the realisation of human freedom in the new era. Therefore, this paper is discussed in the following parts: the first part is the introductory part of this paper, which discusses the background and significance of the selected topic, the current situation of domestic and international research,as well as the innovation points and difficulties encountered in the writing process of this paper. The second part introduces the basic connotations of Marx’s idea of freedom from three perspectives: the subject of freedom, the path to freedom and the essence of its realisation,in which both the real person,as the subject of freedom, and the real conditions of human freedom are closely related to interaction; The third part deals with the intrinsic link between freedom and interaction, with interaction creating the objective conditions for the realisation of freedom and freedom contributing to the further development of interaction; The fourth section discusses the historical development of interaction as a process of the gradual realisation of human freedom, reviews the many manifestations of human ’unfreedom’ in pre-capitalist and capitalist societies, and makes reasonable predictions about the future realisation of human freedom in a communist society;the final section explores the relevance of Marx’s theory of interaction to the realisation of human freedom in the new era.
