Jannis Kounellis is one of the most representative artists of the Italian "Arte Povera",and his works have typical characteristics of impoverished art.Cornelius used his methods to break down and reassemble everyday materials such as steel plates, coal, hessian bags, and cotton, and transformed them into artworks. This way of constructing art breaks away from the artistic tradition and convention at that time, and redefines the boundaries of artistic language. And this is also consistent with the "art of poverty" theory advocated by Chelan. This article mainly discusses Kounellis’ works, and explores his artistic concepts and main construction techniques by interpreting his previous works and his works in the solo exhibition "Translating China" in China. The author categorizes his artistic creation techniques as "Daily things under the concept",and studying this creation technique also has certain guiding significance for practice. |
