The Review Of The Academic Life Of Fu Lohuan(1913-1951)

Fu Lohuan is a famous expert on Liao and Jin history in modern China,who has made pioneering contributions to the study of Liao and Jin dynasties.Fu Lohuan’s academic experience during 1913-1951 is divided into three main stages:Firstly,from the enlightenment of family studies to before enrolling in Peking University.During this period,Fu Lohuan by virtue of the cultural heritage of the Fu family and personal good learning of the endowment,and in the side of Fu Sinian and in the Institute of History and the influence of the scholars,efforts to learn cultural knowledge,entered the history department of Peking University,to achieve an important turn in its life.Second,the academic experience of studying at Peking University to work in the Institute of History and Language.Fu Lohuan in the history department of Peking University for systematic scientific training in history,and gradually determine their own struggle for the professional study of the history of Liao and Jin,completed the“Song-Liao diplomatic envoy" and other papers,in the academic activities carried out can be reflected in the initial establishment of the Marxist materialist view of history Fu Lohuan.When working in the Institute of History and Language,Fu Lohuan was diligent and dedicated,preserving the books of the Institute of History and Language,and completing the thesis of "Liao dynasty four times of the press",which has pioneering significance for the study of Liao and Jin history in China.Thirdly,Fu Lohuan went abroad for further study and completed his doctoral dissertation on the topic of "Natpat and Ordo A study of the way of life and military organization of the Kitan Emperors and their people".Fu Lohuan not only detailed historical facts,test historical materials,broaden the research method,complete its era of concern,the public eye to the study of ethnic regions,based on the frontier issues,expressing its strong patriotic feelings and social responsibility,but also completed its traditional historiography to the Marxist historiography of the leap.Fu Lohuan’s experience before his return to China(1913-1951)was more tortuous and rich in academic research,but due to the scarcity of surviving materials,academic reviews are incomplete.This paper uses Taiwan archival materials,through the translation and collation of Fu Lohuan’s doctoral dissertation,"Natpat and Ordo A study of the way of life and military organization of the Kitan Emperors and their people",and refers to relevant writings on Fu Lohuan’s academic research trajectory and achievements before his return to China.It seeks to conduct a more comprehensive study and factual evaluation before his return to China.
