An Analysis Of The Political Activities Of British Women During The Tudor Dynasty

Women’s social life is an important part of historical development,and entering social life to participate in political activities is the product of social development to a certain extent.The Tudor dynasty was in a special period of social development and change in England,and the entire dynasty was transitioning from economic and political aspects to pre modern times.The changes in production methods allowed women to leave their homes,become craftsmen,merchants,and even enter the civil class.The downward shift in culture gave them more opportunities to acquire knowledge and skills.Therefore,their political activities have changed significantly compared with those in the Middle Ages.Women of different classes have carried out political activities directly or indirectly in social life by means of political sponsorship,litigation,liaison,mutual assistance in public life,etc.During this period,their self-consciousness also began to sprout,gradually acting according to their own will,using their own status and ability to deal with political affairs,which deepened their own imageto a certain extent,and gradually shaped their unique social image.Tudor women who entered the social and political life tried to get rid of the shackles of family concepts and traditional women’s views,leaving traces of their participation in political,economic,religious and other social activities in history.During this period,women’s intervention in political affairs and their political struggle to safeguard their own interests also provided experience and model for the movement of British women’s right to education,work and even political rights in modern times.This paper aims to reconstruct and study the social event of the change of women’s participation in political activities at different levels during the Tudor Dynasty,in order to truly reproduce the various political activities carried out by Tudor women in the court,social network and public life in order to safeguard their own interests and display their own abilities,enrich the content of women’s history research,and change the perspective to women’s political activities to study social history,Form a more comprehensive understanding of history.
