| Literally speaking,ink and wash figure painting is a painting that uses ink and wash as a medium to depict people.If you dig carefully,you will find that ink and wash figure painting is no longer a traditional monochrome painting in the traditional sense of ink and wash,but a hybrid that integrates and develops traditional Chinese techniques such as line drawing and splashing ink,and also carries the shadow of Chinese literati painting.The development of ink and wash figure painting is a development of a historical hybrid.The development of Chinese ink and wash figure painting can be roughly divided into three stages: the stage before the early 20 th century was the classical stage,the modern stage of ink and wash from the early 20 th century to the 1980 s,and the contemporary stage of ink and wash figure painting from the 1980 s to the present.This article is based on contemporary ink and wash figure painting because I live in the contemporary era,and both my creation and life perception are relatively close to me.Contemporary ink and wash shows a tension of overflow and breakaway due to the intersection of the tradition of classical ink and wash figure painting and the reconstruction of modern ink and wash.The context of this article is to explain the performance and changes of ink and wash figure painting from classical to contemporary formal language.From this,it can be seen that contemporary ink and wash figure painting is different from the persistence and inheritance of traditional ink and wash figure painting,as well as from the blending and breaking of the formal language of modern ink and wash figure painting.In both cases,it is necessary to absorb profound cultural nourishment from the traditional context,and also to seek new breakthroughs in the blending of Chinese and Western formal languages,The tension of ink and wash is a manifestation of seeking a breakthrough,which has great inspiration and reference for my own creation. |
