In the 21st century,the Chinese society has been changed dramatically.In such process,the western culture has been widely introduced to China,and started to integrate withChinese culture.Under such circumstance,the development of Chinese painting,especially figure painting,is greatly challenged.Mr.Li Keran,however,faces thedifficulties with his great tenacity,and creates an artistic path for freehand figure painting:with unique Oriental characteristics.Based on the previous research,this thesis tends to focus on the "form" of Li Keran'sfigure paintings,to discuss how "form" and "connotation" formulate unique artisticexpression in his figure paintings and deliver the painter's artistic pursuits.In this way,ittries to find out the images in his paintings,and the internal relation with the brushworklanguages.In addition,it makes a comparison with other contemporary painters offigure painting,so as to present the Li Keran's vivid and individual features,and theunique cultural connotation in his paintings.It tends to offer some new considerations andinspirations for the innovation road of modern figure paintings,and moreover hopes tomake some improvement for the author himself in terms of the structure and expression offigure painting,through the research of Li Keran's figure painting...
