An Aesthetic Exploration Of The Dream Image In The Text Of Yuan Zaju

Ancient Chinese opera has a long history,it combines the essence of narrative literature and lyrical literature,and has become an outstanding representative of our national culture.In a sense,Yuan opera is a golden age in the history of Chinese opera.Influenced by many factors,Yuan Dynasty opera and dreams have formed an indissoluble bond.The dramas involving dreams and dream descriptions in Yuan miscellaneous dramas are a great view,especially the dream images in Yuan miscellaneous dramas,which are not only rich in content,but also play a variety of roles in meta-miscellaneous dramas,and these dream images with deep meaning constitute a beautiful landscape in Yuan Dynasty operas.For a long time,people’s research on dream opera works has mostly stayed on the investigation of specific works,such as articles that analyze and discuss the production,classification,structure,plot,character image,etc.of meta-miscellaneous opera works,and there is still a lack of discussion on their creative methods and aesthetics.In view of this,this paper will sort out the definition of the concept of dream image by predecessors,and write its own understanding into the opera works of the Yuan Dynasty,make an aesthetic interpretation of the dream image in the opera works of the Yuan Dynasty,try to draw on the research methods of psychology,philosophy,cultural anthropology and other disciplines,and use literature analysis methods and other methods to conduct in-depth and systematic research on the generation background,dream image and creation method,aesthetic characteristics of dream imagery,and the adaptation and performance of Yuan miscellaneous opera in contemporary opera.The article consists of an introduction,a main text,and an epilogue,and the main text consists of four chapters.In the introduction part,the literature on dreams in the opera works of the Yuan Dynasty is briefly summarized,and it is sorted out to clarify the foothold of this article.Chapter 1 examines the reasons for the connection between opera and fantasy from four aspects.The first is to explain the concept of dream imagery.Secondly,the influence of the long-standing dream divination culture,since the pre-Qin period,people have a strong belief in dream divination and dreams,and often rely on the results of trigrams to determine their own actions;Once again,opera writing dreams is a reflection of China’s folk psychology,the ancients were particularly sought after legendary things,and the rumors were even more mysterious and bizarre;Then is a kind of inheritance and transcendence of the tradition of literary dream writing,and Chinese writers of all generations have talked about dreams and given dreams a timeless and mysterious color;Finally,it is discussed that dream opera is an important way for creators to observe life,and the special social background of the Yuan Dynasty made the literati turn their pen to Yuan miscellaneous drama.The second chapter mainly explains the creative methods of meta-miscellaneous drama dream plays.Meta-dramatists do not consciously use this method to create,but when we look at this kind of dream opera works today,their creative methods reflect the creative characteristics of naturalism,romanticism,and realism.Therefore,the author will clarify the concepts and obvious characteristics of the three types of creative methods,and sort out and summarize the 27 meta-miscellaneous dramas and dream plays.The third chapter focuses on the aesthetic characteristics of dream imagery in metadrama.This chapter will discuss and analyze in detail from three aspects: form fun,elegance and secular integration,and universal values.Chapter 4,through the excavation and sorting of the text materials of meta-miscellaneous opera,provides materials and accumulates experience for the creation of contemporary dream opera,and provides reference for the creation and dissemination of contemporary dream opera.
