| With the development and popularization of the Internet,the number of teenagers using the Internet to play games is increasing,and the problem of online game addiction is gradually coming into people ’s attention.The problem of online game addiction among secondary vocational students is more prominent.Therefore,it is particularly important to explore the formation mechanism of online game addiction among secondary vocational students.Sensation seeking,as a personality trait,is an important predictor of many addictive behaviors.Studies have shown that sensation seeking can predict online game addiction,but few studies have covered the group of secondary vocational students,and few studies have revealed the internal mechanism between the two.Based on the best arousal theory and the cognitive-behavioral model of online game addiction,this study attempts to introduce state boredom and selfcontrol as mediating variables between the two,and test the chain mediating effect of state boredom and self-control between sensation seeking and Internet gaming disorder of secondary vocational students.In this study,1088 secondary vocational school students in Huaibei City,Anhui Province were selected as subjects.Through questionnaire survey,SPSS24.0 was used for independent sample T test,one-way ANOVA,correlation analysis,and other methods to test demographic differences.Finally,PROCESS plug-in was used to test the mediating effect.The conclusions are as follows :(1)Secondary vocational students ’ sensation seeking,state boredom,and Internet gaming disorder are at the lower-middle level,and self-control is at the upper-middle level.(2)There is a significant positive correlation between sensation seeking,state boredom and Internet gaming disorder,self-control was significantly negatively correlated with sensation seeking,state boredom and Internet gaming disorder.(3)State boredom and self-control play a separate mediating role between sensation seeking and Internet gaming disorder.State boredom and self-control play a chain mediating role between sensation seeking and Internet gaming disorder.Therefore,we can conclude that sensation seeking can directly affect the Internet gaming disorder of secondary vocational students;sensation seeking can affect the Internet gaming disorder of secondary vocational students through the simple intermediary role of state boredom or self-control;In addition,sensation seeking can also affect self-control ability by affecting state boredom,and finally affect Internet gaming disorder of secondary vocational students.Based on the above conclusions,this paper puts forward corresponding educational suggestions for the problem of Internet gaming disorder among secondary vocational students: First,to meet the students ’sensation seeking and guide their healthy development;Second,to enrich the daily and learning life of secondary vocational students,reduce the state of boredom;Third,help students improve their self-control ability and avoid Internet gaming disorder. |
