In various contemporary national calligraphy and seal cutting exhibitions,Yan Zhenqing’s style of calligraphy and seal cutting has shown a gradual upward trend,and his style has developed from singularity to diversification.Yan Zhenqing’s calligraphy has both the "golden and stone atmosphere" of the stele and the "elegant charm" of the inscription,making him a popular figure in the exploration of the stele inscription as early as the Qing Dynasty.The National Calligraphy and Seal Engraving Exhibition,as one of the most influential exhibitions in contemporary times,analyzes the trends and reasons for the changes in Yan Zhenqing’s calligraphy style and methods in previous exhibitions,and further inspires how to better grasp the trend of the times in contemporary creation.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter defines Yan Zhenqing’s regular and running calligraphy styles,analyzes the causes and characteristics of his calligraphic style in terms of his family education,friendships,and social experiences,compares the process of establishing Yan Zhenqing’s calligraphic status,and the lineage of regular and running calligraphy after the Tang Dynasty under the influence of Yan Zhenqing’s calligraphic style.Chapter 2 analyzes the reasons for the changes in the number,style,and form of Yan Zhenqing’s calligraphic style in previous national exhibitions,summarizes the inspiration of the"Yan style" works in the national exhibition for the creation of contemporary Yan Zhenqing’s calligraphic style,and discusses the relationship between Yan Zhenqing’s"human character" and "character character.The relationship between Yan Zhenqing’s"character" and "character" is mapped to contemporary calligraphic creation,and a variety of creative paths based on Yan Zhenqing’s calligraphic style are discovered and elaborated.In the third chapter,the author combines his own study of Yan Zhenqing’s calligraphic philosophy and calligraphic practice to explain his inspiration for future calligraphic practice. |
