Research On Hosoda Mamoru’s Animation Film Art Style

As an internationally renowned animation director in the 21 st century,Mamoru Hosoda has his own audio-visual rules in the formation of his artistic style.The themes of his works are rich in philosophy.While adhering to two-dimensional hand-painted creations,he uses simulation-style performances to depict the warmth of daily life.At the same time,the integration of traditional Japanese culture and national thought has enabled Mamoru Hosoda to create many works of profound significance,achieving dual achievements of artistic value and commercial value.This paper uses literature review,comparative research,and comprehensive analysis to explore the artistic style of Mamoru Hosoda ’s animation films.audiovisual features.Through its main animation works,it summarizes the new style characteristics formed in each stage,and points out what contemporary animation creators can learn.The article is mainly composed of five parts.First,the first part starts from the events experienced by Mamoru Hosoda in his student days and career and the impact on them;secondly,he analyzes the development process of his artistic style characteristics and summarizes the characteristics of his works.It is the most successful in a period of time.Through the other chapters,it summarizes the success points of its films and analyzes them;in the second part,it analyzes the formation of the narrative structure and theme selection style of Hosoda Mamoru animation,and also analyzes the transformation of its narrative strategy.The role,the third part mainly studies the setting of characters and scenes in Mamoru Hosoda’s animated films,and the functions set in the film.The fourth part focuses on the audio-visual art characteristics of Mamoru Hosoda’s animation films,from the perspective of lens image skills,action performance,and auditory expression;and analyzes how these techniques are used in the film.Finally,the fifth part summarizes the influence analysis and reflection of Mamoru Hosoda’s animated films and what we can learn from.
