| Under the influence of the COVID-19,Teaching Chinese as a foreign language has changed from offline mode to online mode.As an important part of teachers’ psychology and teacher development,online Chinese teachers’ self-efficacy is an important indicator of teachers’ teaching ability and teaching effect.Teachers’ self-efficacy has a significant impact on teachers’ teaching behavior,teaching effect,job satisfaction,turnover intention and students’ learning effect.With the reduction of the impact of the COVID-19,the level of self-efficacy of online Chinese teachers,whether they are satisfied with their current work,whether they are still willing to work online,or whether they have intention to leave,these issues deserve discussion.This research takes 403 Chinese teachers who have had online Chinese teaching experience as the research object,and takes the Locus of control theory and self-efficacy theory as the theoretical basis of this paper.It adopts the questionnaire survey method and structural equation model test method to investigate online Chinese teachers’ self-efficacy,job satisfaction and turnover intention.The results show that online Chinese teachers’ self-efficacy is generally high,their job satisfaction is high,and their turnover intention is relatively low.The results of the study showed that online Chinese teachers’ self-efficacy was generally high,their job satisfaction was high,and their intention to leave was relatively low.In terms of the internal factors affecting online Chinese teachers’ self-efficacy,there were significant differences between online Chinese teachers’ self-efficacy and gender,online teaching experience,education,and major.Further analysis revealed that online Chinese teachers’ teaching experience affect student engagement efficacy;gender affects classroom teaching efficacy;and online teaching experience,education,and major affect teaching strategy efficacy.In order to better enhance teachers’ self-efficacy and reduce online Chinese teachers’ turnover intention,the author puts forward suggestions from three aspects:firstly,online Chinese teachers should continuously accumulate teaching experience and improve classroom management ability;Secondly,continuously improve one’s foreign language skills,enhance teaching skills,and enhance communication skills;The third is to actively use the learning resources provided by online teaching platforms,improve professional abilities,adapt to the characteristics of online teaching,and establish professional confidence. |
