| As one of the North American Chinese writers,Chen Qian has attracted more and more attention in recent years for his unique writing.The multicultural experience brought by cross-border immigration is the source of Chen Qian’s writing,and it also shapes the characteristics of Chen Qian’s novels.From the perspective of mutual learning between civilizations,the thesis explores the construction of multicultural integration in Chen Qian’s novels from the perspective of regional space,cross-border thinking and narrative art,and at the same time explores the significance of mutual learning between civilizations in Chen Qian’s novels.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the main body of the thesis consists of four chapters.The first chapter mainly explores the regional space in Chen Qian’s novels from the perspective of mutual learning of civilizations,starting from three aspects: the writing of Chinese regional space,the writing of American regional space,and the flow and connection of Chinese and American spaces,and analyzes the presentation of the regional space form of the novel to explore Chen Qian’s attitude towards cultural integration in cross-domain multicultural experience.The second chapter mainly explores the ideological connotation of Chen Qian’s novels in the cross-domain space from the perspective of mutual learning of civilizations.From the three aspects of self-seeking,family and career,it explores Chen Qian’s thinking on life under the integration of Chinese and American experiences,presents the survival picture of the new Chinese immigrants in America,and reveals the harmonious posture in the multicultural blending of Chen Qian’s novels and Chen Qian’s dynamic concept and warm attitude to life.The third chapter mainly explores the narrative art of Chen Qian’s novels from the perspective of mutual learning of civilizations.From the aspects of narrative structure,imagery,and narrative techniques,it presents that Chen Qian’s novels expand the narrative limit by the questioning narrative under finding "why",add narrative depth with complex and multi-dimensional image narrative and construct a "going inward" narrative that reflects people’s hearts by using a blend of Chinese and Western techniques.It presents Chen Qian’s novel narrative art and the harmonious blend of Chinese and Western literary experience behind it.The fourth chapter mainly explores the significance of mutual learning between civilizations in Chen Qian’s novels,starting from the two aspects of cultural diversity and cultural integration,and shows that Chen Qian’s novels concretely present the cultural diversity and interweaving in the cross-border scene of new Chinese immigrants in America.With the "two-faced" head-up perspective and the topic "human survival dilemma" enriching the way of cultural integration,it reveals Chen Qian’s multicultural experience with individual representation,returns to reality itself,breaks the pre-existing theory of culture,and provides individual experience for mutual learning of civilizations. |
