Research On South Korea’s Cultural Soft Power Strategy

In the context of economic globalization and the rapid development of information technology,cultural exchanges among countries are becoming more and more close.Because of the dual value of cultural in economy and culture,cultural development has been gradually raised to the strategic level by many countries.The theme of the world today is peace and development.Economy and military can no longer fully represent the comprehensive national strength of a country.The soft power represented by culture is increasingly valued and plays an increasingly important role in the international arena.Since 2010,China’s total economic output has steadily ranked second in the world,and by2022,the total economic output has exceeded 120 trillion yuan.However,the importance of cultural soft power has been ignored to some extent,resulting in an imbalanced development of China’s soft power and hard power.However,from the 18 th National Congress to the 20 th National Congress,the Party Central Committee has put forward new requirements for the cultural construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,and the development of cultural soft power is an indispensable part of achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.China’s neighboring South Korea has made good achievements in developing cultural soft power and has rich development experience.In 1998,South Korea put forward the concept of "building a country through culture",taking the development of culture as the primary task of the country.Since then,successive governments have put forward corresponding policies to support cultural development,established a sound system of laws and regulations,carried out cultural diplomacy and focused on cultivating core cultural industries.In particular,the emergence of "Korean Wave" has not only promoted the rapid economic growth of South Korea,but also formed a national brand and improved the national image.China and South Korea have close geographical and cultural relations since ancient times.Therefore,the study and analysis of the promotion strategy of South Korea’s cultural soft power has important reference value for the choice of China’s cultural construction path;Learning from the successful experience of the development of South Korea’s cultural soft power will help promote the development of China’s socialist cultural power.In the process of studying the development of South Korea’s cultural soft power,it is concluded that the proposed measures for the development of Chinese culture include establishing the strategic goal of establishing a country through culture,and improving the system of policies and regulations;Fully explore the excellent culture from China’s rich cultural resources and create a distinctive Chinese brand;At the same time,under the guidance of the government,all sectors of society should participate in the establishment of an effective cooperation mechanism to effectively promote the development of cultural soft power;In addition,we should actively carry out cultural diplomacy,promote China’s excellent culture overseas,and bring China’s excellent culture to the world.
