Folk culture is a living culture created and enjoyed by the masses in their practices,reflecting the collective memory of an ethnic group in terms of beliefs,customs,aesthetic interests,ethical values,and more.At the same time,folk culture faces various issues such as limited dissemination channels,content homogenization,and discontinuity in inheritance.Therefore,by analyzing the factors,external manifestations,and emotional significance of Yao ethnic folk cultural phenomena,combining the profile model and psychological characteristics of the target audience,and utilizing visual language such as dynamic graphics in terms of form,color,and motion patterns,this study explores the application of emotionalization theory in the design of dynamic graphics related to Yao ethnic folk culture,aiming to enhance the audience’s emotional experience and improve the dissemination effectiveness of Yao ethnic folk culture.Through field research combined with questionnaire survey data,influential factors of Yao ethnic folk culture are extracted.The empathy detection graph is used to analyze the psychological characteristics,behavioral habits,motivational needs,and psychological appeals of the core audience.Based on design principles such as comprehensibility,aesthetics,amusement,guidance,and regularity,interdisciplinary methods involving narratology,psychology,and art are employed to construct relevant design strategies.Guided by the concept of emotionalized design from three dimensions:instinctual,behavioral,and reflective,this study aims to mobilize the audience’s psychological perception,establish emotional communication,effectively convey emotional information in dynamic graphics,and achieve the effective dissemination of emotional value in Yao ethnic folk culture.At the instinctual level,image graphics are constructed with shapes,colors,and sounds that align with the audience’s cognition to evoke a pleasant primacy effect.At the behavioral level,narrative structure,dynamic patterns,and motion rhythms are employed to enhance the audience’s visual experience and guide changes in psychological perception.The reflective level,based on emotional identification,stimulates reflection on the real social environment and living conditions,thus forming strong and lasting emotional memories.Therefore,the design strategy combining emotionalization theory and dynamic graphics can enhance the audience’s emotional cognition and experience,improve the dissemination effectiveness of emotional information in image graphics,and enable the profound dissemination of emotional value in folk culture.Moreover,this design strategy can address the limitations of traditional single-form aesthetics,the inability to meet the psychological needs of the audience,and the complexity of the design process,providing a reference and direction for the redesign of dynamic graphics related to folk culture.
