| Huazhou shadow puppetry is one of the traditional dramas in Shaanxi region,a comprehensive art combining Chinese folk arts and crafts with folk opera art.It was selected for the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2006.The exhibition space and dissemination methods of shadow puppetry have undergone changes in its development process.In the past,Huazhou shadow puppetry was a popular form of entertainment among the people,and it also had the social function of "entertaining the gods" such as praying for blessings.Shadow puppetry troupes moved to the countryside for performances;In the 1950 s,profound social changes occurred in rural areas of China.The shadow puppetry troupe underwent restructuring and adaptation,becoming a new shadow puppetry troupe that participated in the creation and performance of new plays;Since the reform and opening up,after another brief prosperity,Huazhou shadow puppetry has begun to decline.In rural areas,there is no longer a scene of theatrical troupes singing on stage.With the trend of inheriting and protecting intangible cultural heritage,Huazhou shadow puppetry,due to its exquisite carving,rich colors,and unique aesthetic characteristics,has gradually entered the city as a form of industrial art and gradually become industrialized.Shadow puppetry is also only a performance art in exhibition halls Performed for the audience at the art festival.Due to the development of science and technology and changes in people’s cognition,the folk function of shadow puppetry is gradually fading.This is not only an inevitable trend of the times,but also an inevitable process of de rustication and de folklore.Huazhou shadow play used to be a part of people’s life,but now it has become alienated from life.Its change process is also the evolution process of cultural history and art history.This article aims to sort out the evolution of Huazhou shadow play performance space and communication mode through interviews with shadow play artists,explore the relationship between shadow play and regional folk culture and the social reality problems faced by modern shadow play,and provide diversified ideas for the development of Huazhou shadow play. |
