Aspirated nasal sounds are an important topic in phonetic research. As a research direction in phonetic research, aspirated nasal sounds have their own uniqueness and particularity. The academic research on aspirated nasal sounds is very limited, and it is generally believed that there is no aspirated/aspirated nasal sound in the Dong language.Through field research and related literature on Dong language research in recent years,it has been found that the Dong language does have aspirated/aspirated nasal sounds, breaking the inherent understanding that the Dong language only has voiced nasal sounds. In particular, compared to other scholars,Long Runtian has conducted further research on the aspirated nasal sounds of the second dialect in the southern part of the Dong language,However, the types and directions of research are limited.Based on a field survey of the Pudong dialect, this article describes the phonemic system of the Dong language Pudong dialect using structuralist methods and historical comparative methods.Through experimental phonetics,it examines the types, distribution, and acoustic characteristics of aspirated nasals in Pudong dialect, and explores their origin and evolution. The full text is divided into five parts.Introduction.Explaining the research object, reason for choosing the topic, theoretical methods, and corpus sources of the paper will pave the way for the writing of this paper. The first chapter comprehensively describes the phonemic system of Pudong dialect from the aspects of initial consonants, vowels, and tones, providing a systematic reference for the study of aspirated nasals in Pudong dialect. The second chapter mainly describes the types and distribution of aspirated nasals in Pudong dialect. The aspirated nasal sounds of Pudong dialect mainly include mh,nh,(?)h,ηh,mhj,ηhw.The six types of w are distributed in 48 example words. The syllable distribution of aspirated nasal sounds in Pudong dialect is very uneven and irregular. The aspirated nasal initial consonants in Pudong dialect are mainly distributed in 9 vowel vowels, and their vowel formation ability is ranked from strong to weak as follows:a>P>ε=(?)>(?)=o>i=u>(?).The acoustic characteristics of the aspirated nasal sounds of Pudong dialect are revealed through experimental phonetics. It is difficult to distinguish the aspirated nasal sounds and the clear nasal sounds of Pudong dialect only from the language diagram, but from the auditory sense, the aspirated nasal sounds of Pudong dialect have a stronger airflow than the clear nasal sounds. The third chapter examines the origin and evolution of aspirated nasal sounds in Pudong dialect. The number of sources of aspirated nasal sounds in Pudong dialect varies, with some having eight sources, such as*b,(?),(?),*(?),*ml,*n,*η,*(?)nd,some have only one source, such as(?)Or*△(?)ml.The evolution process of aspirated nasal sounds in Pudong dialect is as follows:(?)>mh,(?)>nh,(?)>(?)h,(?)>(?)>ηh,?ml>ml>mj>mhj,(?)>mh>mhw>ηhw.The conclusion part is mainly reviews and summarizes of the full text, and looks forward to the future research direction of the Dong language aspirated nasal sound topic.
