Vocabulary teaching is the foundation of Chinese language teaching and an important part of Chinese language teaching for international students,and it is the key to developing international students’ ability to improve their Chinese expression and communication.As a basic vocabulary,monosyllabic polysemy verbs with the radical‘扌’are closely related to people’s daily life and used frequently,but it has been a difficult learning point for international students because of its rich meaning items and strong word formation ability.In the current teaching of monosyllabic polysemy verbs with the radical‘扌’,there are problems such as direct translation,ignoring the linguistic differences between Chinese and English,and not paying enough attention to cultural connotation,etc.The relatively solid traditional vocabulary teaching method makes students lack the thinking of constructing relationships between lexical items,which often leads to learners’ half-understanding of the meaning and usage of monosyllabic polysemy verbs with the radical‘扌’.In order to solve this problem,this study investigates the current situation of teaching monosyllabic polysemy verbs with the radical‘扌’based on the bias analysis theory and the prototypical category theory,and investigates the current situation of teaching monosyllabic polysemy verbs with the radical‘扌’from both students’ acquisition and teachers’ teaching.The purpose of this study is to explore appropriate teaching strategies for front-line Chinese teachers to reduce the acquisition errors of monosyllabic polysemy verbs with the radical‘扌’and to improve the Chinese expression and communication skills of international students.In this study,the 42 monosyllabic polysemy verbs with the radical‘扌’(打、换、接、搬、拉、指、掉、提、擦、扔、抬、抱、挂、推、扶、抢、拍、拦、挡、挣、挥、插、摆、摸、撞、抓、挤、搞、扑、折、撇、扒、扣、挨、捏、捞、捧、掏、揉、找、拨、搁)in the HSK Standard Course(1-6)textbook were used as the object of the study,and their classification,characteristics and derivation paths were investigated in detail.On the basis of this,we use the corpus research method and the bias analysis method to organize,analyze and summarize the bias corpus of monosyllabic polysemy verbs with the radical‘扌’collected from the HSK dynamic composition corpus,and analyze the causes of the bias.A questionnaire survey was conducted to find out the current situation of teaching "扌" monosyllabic polysyllabic verbs,and it was found that in practice,there are problems of "lack of teaching ability,resulting in poor teaching effect","single teaching method and drill,which is not conducive to the development of The problems of "lack of teaching ability,resulting in ineffective teaching","single teaching method and practice,not conducive to the development of communicative competence","confined to the layout of teaching materials,neglecting the random expansion of meaning","boring teaching content,lack of cultural connotation".Finally,in view of the types of errors of international students and the existing problems in teaching,we propose "using the old to bring in the new","making good use of the real context to expand the teaching",and "sorting out the derivation of meaning items".The teaching strategies include "sorting out the paths of derivation" and "using word-form sets to arrange the teaching sequence".
