Image Study Of Qiuci Grottoes During The Anxi Imperial Palace In Tang Dynasty

Due to the political stability,economic prosperity and effective administration of the central government in Qiuci during the reign of Anxidu in Tang Dynasty,a number of caves with Tang style appeared in the construction of caves in Qiuci area,especially Kumutula Grottoes and A ’ai grottoes.Qiuci Tang style image has important aesthetic value and artistic value in the Chinese grotto art,is the precious cultural heritage of the Chinese nation,worthy of further study.The appearance of the image of Tang style in Qiuci also confirms that the Qiuci area is an area of multi-cultural coexistence and friendly exchanges among multi-ethnic groups.This paper mainly takes the Tang style images in Qiuci Grottoes during the period of Anxidu Protection Palace as the research object,starts from the historical background of the appearance of Tang style images,discusses the causes of the appearance of Tang style images and the Buddhist teachings contained in them.The second chapter mainly analyzes the location,age,representative caves and the development process of Tang style caves.The third chapter analyzes the art style of Qiuci Tang style images in detail,including the theme of the menstrual painting,the emergence of the Chinese style image of thousands of Buddhas,Han monk donors and other themes.This chapter also discusses the techniques and features of Qiuci Tang style images and composition forms,which are obviously different from the local art style of Qiuci Tang style murals.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the similarities and differences between the Qiuci Tang style images and the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes images in the Tang Dynasty from the aspects of the content,composition,lines and colors of the mural paintings.The last chapter of the thesis mainly discusses the historical influence and practical significance of Qiuci Tang style images in Anxidu period from the aspects of cultural value and aesthetic value contained in Tang style images.
