Wang Zengqi’s literary criticism presents two value tendencies: first,it emphasizes that literary creations should be beneficial to the world’s hearts, and second,it emphasizes that literary works should be beautifully written. He integrates his creative experience into his critical practice and focuses on "exploring the aesthetic and social significance of writers directly from their works".He is not only concerned with the existence of the "individual person" but also enters directly into the writer’s work with an aesthetic eye,and with a strong subjective spirit,he has opened up the aesthetic self-consciousness of literary "ontology".This dissertation takes Wang Zengqi’s art and literature as an overall research object, applies the research method of literary criticism morphology, looks at Wang Zengqi’s humanist criticism based on "people" and aesthetic criticism aimed at "beauty" as a whole, and traces the cultural roots of this pattern. On this basis, the thesis develops a theory of Wang Zengqi’s literary criticism, namely,a theoretical analysis of its connotations,an analysis of Wang Zengqi’s practice of literary criticism, and finally an analysis of the significance of Wang Zengqi’s literary criticism. The thesis consists of an introduction,a body and a conclusion,of which the body is divided into four chapters. The first chapter explores Wang Zengqi’s literary critical thought. In the context of Wang Zengqi’s life history and creative practice, the thesis examines how Wang Zengqi has realized the modern transformation of ancient literary theory and the nationalization of Western literary theory in the dialogue between Chinese and Western literary theory on equal footing. The second chapter examines Wang Zengqi’s literary criticism and its cultural roots. The second chapter discusses Wang Zengqi’s literary criticism.Through an overall view of Wang Zengqi’s literary criticism,it can be found that Wang Zengqi’s literary criticism is centered on "people" and "beauty" as its form.To some extent, this criticism is in line with Wang Zengqi’s creative idea of "returning to realism and national traditions" in the 1980 s,and is presented in the form of humanist criticism based on"people" and aesthetic criticism aimed at "beauty".From the perspective of"humanism," Wang Zengqi’s literary criticism shows an emphasis on the subjective consciousness of the self and the subjective consciousness of the creator, and a concern for "humanity. At the same time,Wang Zengqi’s literary criticism is paradigmatically impressionistic and discursively "beauty culture".The values of "human being" and"beauty" are integrated into it,and "reality" is used as a basis to express Wang Zengqi’s humanistic aesthetic criticism that integrates classical ideals and modern culture. The third chapter focuses on Wang Zengqi’s literary criticism practice.Based on the above two forms of criticism,Wang Zengqi’s critical practice includes both analysis of specific literary phenomena and criticism of specific writers’ works, observation of"details" and "impressions" that incorporate his own emotional experiences, and both appreciation-based criticism and criticism based on perception. This is Wang Zengqi’s echo of the idea of "combining criticism and appreciation".In his specific critical activities,he combines impressionistic criticism with close reading criticism to realize his concern for the "human" subject;he also combines appreciative criticism with rational criticism to "appreciate beauty" by using metaphors, comparisons, analogies, and other rhetoric to look at the text’s By using metaphors, comparisons, analogies, and other rhetoric,Wang Zengqi looks at the self-sufficiency of the text and the ontology of the language, conveys the inner rhythm of the text, and puts the overall impression of the aesthetic process into writing, creating a diverse and distinctive style of criticism.Wang Zengqi’s critical practice, with "people" as the core and "beauty" as the purpose,is based on "real life" and presents "the unity and poetry of life and poetry" inside and outside the text. The unity and integration of survival and poetry" in the text.Chapter four analyzes the inspiration and significance of Wang Zengqi’s literary criticism.Wang Zengqi was deeply influenced by the writers and literati of the "Beijing School",and his literary criticism not only embodies the original characteristics of literature as literature, providing us with a humanistic path from "realism" to deeply understand its ideological core, but also conveys the aesthetic connotation of literary criticism with the writer’s self-consciousness of the subject. His literary criticism is a "living and integrated rhythm of life",full of the true energy and blood of human beings, and in the process of inheriting and creating Chinese and Western literary theory,he has "formed his own family".In the process of inheriting and creating Chinese and Western literary theory,it has maintained the Chinese accent and Chinese characteristics, and provided a path for the creative development of our own culture for today’s literary criticism, which is of great value and significance.
