Continuous exercise and fitness play an important role both in individuals’ cognitive and physical health.Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic,home fitness has become a new trend,while gamified fitness has become popular due to its high level of entertainment value and the universality of exercise venues.In the context of the continued promotion of "Healthy China 2030" and the constant development of the entertainment industry,gamified fitness has a promising future.Therefore,how to encourage users to use gamified fitness continuously and how to solve the problem of insufficient attractiveness of gamified fitness to users are pressing issues that need to be addressed today.This study conducts theoretical deduction through a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods.Firstly,the study conducts extensive literature review to organize the main theoretical models used to explain user’s sustained behavior,and demonstrates the existing issues of relevant theoretical models in the field of fitness gaming.It further determines the research path of conducting segmented discussions by combining the "habit theory","ECM-ISC model" and "behavioral stages of user product use".Secondly,the study determined the basic attributes of fitness games(usefulness,functional quality,entertainment,technical quality,usability,social interaction)and a fitness game evaluation scale through factor analysis and literature discussion.The study also determined the priority order of various game attributes in the user’s cognitive stage(before game use)based on the variance explanation rate in factor analysis.Subsequently,this study distributed questionnaires using the constructed fitness game evaluation scale as a tool during the stages of user experience(during and after usage)and sustained usage.Structural equation modeling analysis was conducted,resulting in the development of the factors influencing user satisfaction in fitness game experience model and the factors influencing sustained usage of fitness games model.Additionally,priority rankings for fitness game attributes were determined separately for the experience stage and the sustained stage.The study also determined the priority order of fitness game attributes in the experience stage and sustained stage,respectively.Then,the study organized and discussed the above research results and constructed a dynamic influence factor change model for sustained fitness game use and a dynamic path model for sustained use of fitness games,revealing the user’s demand principles and behavioral logic for fitness games in each behavior stage and filling in the research gap in the user experience field of fitness games to a certain extent.Finally,the study used logical deduction to determine that the main fitness game-related products that users can come into contact with in the pre-use,during/after use,and sustained use stages are advertisements,game software/hardware,and backend maintenance,respectively.The study proposed relevant design methods and design paths based on the constructed fitness game sustained use dynamic path model and fitness game evaluation scale and conducted theoretical validation through case analysis.This study provides theoretical guidance and reference for the early-stage promotion,product development,and later-stage maintenance of the fitness game industry.
