| Self-media is inseparable from the construction of national image.From an unfamiliar perspective,the other provides a new window for foreign audiences to understand China.On the one hand,the others have lived in China for a long time and stayed in a different cultural environment for a long time,which makes them feel more obvious and have a clearer understanding of the cultural differences between the two countries;On the other hand,others in China may have negative emotions towards China due to cross-cultural maladjustment,stereotypes and ethnocentrism.The attitude of the other towards China as a self-media has a great impact on its target audience.This paper uses Python software to capture the short videos created by influential self-media in China and related popular comments on You Tube,and uses qualitative research and corpus linguistics methods to study the short videos shot by foreigners in China.This paper mainly studies the aspects and ways of constructing the image of China in the short videos of positive objective narration of China and negative non-objective narration of China,and the similarities and differences between them.Secondly,this paper further excavates the popular comments of the two,and mainly explores the emotional attitudes of overseas audiences towards the image of China presented by the videos.It is found that the objective short videos integrate multiple perspectives into the narrative techniques of daily life when constructing the image of China,focusing mainly on the social,economic and cultural dimensions,while the subjective short videos focus on the political,social and economic dimensions from a single perspective.In the objective short video comments,overseas audiences show positive feelings towards China as a whole;Subjective short video comments hold a negative attitude towards China;at the same time,because overseas audiences are influenced by the agenda setting of Western media and the "bad news" psychology,their communication effect is better than that of objective short videos in terms of the number of comments and likes.From the analysis of the short video materials and the ways and means of transmission,the following conclusions are drawn: the short video materials play an auxiliary role in classroom education;In the promotion and dissemination of Chinese culture,we should explore multiple communication subjects and attach importance to the important role of foreign students in the dissemination of Chinese culture.While strengthening the regional nationalization of international Chinese education,we should comprehensively enhance the empowerment of educational science and technology,tap the endogenous power of Chinese excellent culture,and build the brand of "Confucius Institute". |
