Study Of Taiyuan Red Cultural Sites

Red culture is a source of strength for the Communist Party of China to unite and lead the people of all ethnic groups in their struggle,and is a profound nourishment to inspire the patriotic spirit of the people and stimulate the spirit of the Chinese nation.Red culture sites are the material carriers of red culture,condensing the glorious history of revolutionary martyrs who were not afraid of sacrifice and fought hard,revealing the hardships and twists of the Chinese people to achieve national independence,people’s happiness and national prosperity since modern times.Taiyuan is a red city with a glorious revolutionary history and rich in red cultural resources.The practical activities of the Chinese Communist Party in Taiyuan have formed many monuments and symbols that record the glorious historical deeds of the revolutionary forefathers and carry the spiritual connotation of the Chinese Communists,which are the testimony of the glorious history of our Party in Taiyuan and are extremely valuable red wealth.There are 5 national sites,17 provincial sites,24 city and county sites,and 74 unclassified or damaged sites,totaling 120 red cultural sites in Taiyuan.Based on the existing census data related to red cultural sites in Taiyuan,supplemented by documentary records and field surveys,this paper interprets and analyzes the number of names,spatial and temporal distribution,categories,protection and utilization levels,and value connotations of red cultural sites in Taiyuan.On this basis,according to the classification criteria in the Guidelines for the Protection and Utilization of Old Revolutionary Sites(2019)of the State Administration of Cultural Relics and the Regulations on the Protection and Utilization of Red Cultural Sites in Shanxi Province,the author takes into account the actual situation of Taiyuan area and comprehensively considers the red cultural sites in Taiyuan as the sites where martyrs’ deeds took place are mostly important events and major battle sites,so the red cultural sites in Taiyuan are classified as important institutions and former sites of meetings;former residences of important people The six important and representative sites-the Memorial Hall of the Life of Peng Zhen and the Former Site of Taiyuan Branch of the Communist Party of China,the Memorial Hall of Revolutionary Activities at the Former Site of Shanxi National Normal,the Former Residence of Gao Junyu,the Battle Site of Niuhuozhai,the Battle Site of Miyu Town and the Taiyuan Twin Towers-are selected for case study.Martyrs’ Cemetery for case analysis.Through the investigation and research of the sites,we summarize the main achievements of the preliminary work on the protection and utilization of red cultural sites in Taiyuan,point out the problems found in the field survey,analyze the main reasons for their generation,and make corresponding suggestions for the protection and utilization of red cultural sites in Taiyuan.
