The continuous excavation of bamboo slips of the Qin and Han dynasties since the1970 s clearly shows the process of the transition from seal script to official script during the Qin and Han dynasties,providing the valuable material support for this study.Each official script’s changing stage has rich changes,different characteristics and unique charm.Ancient official script,which locates in the early stage of the development of official script several varieties carving technique and writing skills,showing a simple and frank style.Using of literature research and image analysis,this paper took representative books as an example to sort out the ancient official script style of bamboo slips during the Qin and Han dynasties.This paper aimed to provide theoretical and practical support for the author to create better works based on the experience of predecessors.The content of this paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which clarifies the content,purpose and significance of this topic and the dynamic analysis of relevant research in this field.The second part explains the word "ancient official script" and then expounds the background and conditions of the official script change from three aspects: social contexts,writing materials and tools,and writing methods.The third part summarizes and analyzes the characteristics of the ancient official script style of the Qin and Han bamboo slips from the aspects of character style,writing style,and writing structure.The third part also discusses the characteristics of the rustic and dignified style of the Qin and Han bamboo slips and the ancient official script style of the Qin and Han bamboo slips influenced by the style of writing in the six countries and summarizes the specific slips by stages in the form of a list.The fourth part is to observe how modern and contemporary calligraphers draw lessons from the ancient official script style of the Qin and Han bamboo slips,and analyze how contemporary calligraphers adjust the style of ancient official script in personal style when creating the self-work of ancient official script style of the Qin and Han bamboo slips.And this part is to analyze the works in the national calligraphy exhibition from the perspective of form,selection,composition,and ink color changes,based on the exhibition effect.The fifth part mainly expounds the author’s experience and enlightenment in learning and creating through the grasp of style characteristics and the study of modern and contemporary calligraphers’ creation experience.
