Abstract/Summary:
In ancient Chinese society,funeral customs can reflect the ideological and religious consciousness of a nation,a society,and a historical period,as well as the actual social situation at that time.Tomb inscriptions are an important part of ancient Chinese funeral system and have always held an important position in modern archaeological excavations.Fenzhou in the Tang Dynasty,located in the central and western part of Shanxi Province,with its dangerous geographical location and rich cultural diversity,has more than a hundred Tang tomb inscriptions,reflecting the profound regional culture of Fenzhou in the Tang Dynasty.This article takes the Tang inscriptions of Fenzhou as the core,and comprehensively studies the social and cultural aspects of Fenzhou from the engraving art and engraving rules of the appearance of tomb inscriptions to the historical and cultural significance reflected in the content of the inscriptions.This article takes 119 Tang inscriptions as the research object.Firstly,in the introduction part,the research scope,research purpose and significance,and domestic and foreign research status are clarified.Secondly,Chapter 1 explores the excavation and distribution of Fenyang tomb inscriptions,classifies and counts information such as the burial site,and comprehensively analyzes the overall situation of the tomb inscriptions based on the preservation situation.In Chapter 3,the characteristics of the cover decoration and regional style of Fenyang inscriptions are studied,with a focus on exploring the combination of decorative types.A comparative study is conducted on the size specifications of Fenyang tomb inscriptions and the identity of the tomb owners to obtain universal rules.In Chapter 4,combined with the interpretation of the inscriptions,the funeral etiquette and literary allusions cited in the Tang inscriptions of Fenyang are studied.In the conclusion part of this article,the comprehensive research is summarized.Under the influence of special geographical and cultural factors,Fenyang tomb inscriptions have unique local characteristics.The seal engraving of the decoration is closely related to the size of the tomb inscription and the identity of the tomb owner.The content of the inscriptions reflects important historical materials of the times and social etiquette,and is also a valuable carrier highlighting the historical and literary characteristics of tomb inscriptions.With the continuous excavation of Fenyang tomb inscriptions,the historical and cultural connotations of Fenyang will be enriched and the historical records will be corrected.
