Deep learning is an important way to effectively promote the development of students’ core qualities and implement curriculum standards.The cultivation of high-quality talents in the new era cannot be separated from the process of deep learning.English Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 Edition,2020Revision)point out the importance of integrated development of language skills.The cultivation of students’ integrated language skills has attracted the attention of many front-line teachers and experts,but there are few experimental studies on Integrated Skills section instruction in senior high school English based on deep learning.Therefore,Based on the deep learning theory,this study takes two parallel classes in Grade one of H Middle School in Jiangsu Province as the experimental classes.The data was collected through tests,questionnaires and interviews.It aims to answer the following three questions:(1)How about senior high school students’ deep learning levels in Integrated Skills section?(2)What are the relevant factors affecting students’ deep learning levels?(3)Is the instruction of Integrated Skills section based on deep learning effective in improving students’ integrated language skills? How effective is it?Before the instructional experiment,through questionnaires and interviews,the deep learning situation of students in the Integrated Skills section and relevant factors affecting students’ deep learning levels are comprehensively understand.According to the current investigation and relevant theories,the writer compiled the instructional design routine of the Integrated Skills section in senior high school English based on deep learning and took the Integrated Skills section of one unit in the textbook as an example to design the instructional case.The experiment lasted for 16 weeks.The experimental class adopted the instructional design routine of this study to carry out instructional practice of the Integrated Skills section.The control class continues to adopt the previous instructional pattern for instructional practice.The test papers before and after the experiment are all the unified examination of the grade.Finally,from the comparative analysis of various data before and after the experiment using SPSS26.0,we know that :(1)According to the current survey,the deep learning levels of students in Integrated Skills section is low.(2)The related factors that affecting students’ deep learning levels mainly comes two aspects: one is from students’ level,the other is from teachers’ level.(3)The instruction of Integrated Skills based on deep learning in improving students’ integrated language skills is effective and it can promote the development of students’ deep learning and core literacy of the subject.Finally,combined with the research findings and deep learning theories,the writer puts forward some instructional suggestions that can help improve the integrated English language skills of senior high school students,and discusses the limitations of this study and suggestions for future research.
