A Study On The Translation Of Chinese Classics In Yuan Dynasty

The Yuan Dynasty was an important stage in the formation and development of a multi-ethnic country in our country.The interaction and communication between different ethnic groups promoted the development of ethnic integration.The translation of Chinese classics was an important form of communication between different ethnic groups in the Yuan Dynasty,which was mainly concentrated in the upper Mongolian.The translation of Chinese classics in the Yuan Dynasty includes oral and written translation of Chinese classics,which can be roughly divided into two categories: Confucianism and history.The translation of Chinese classics in Yuan Dynasty has two main characteristics.First,the translated Chinese books mainly adopt the form of abridgement.On the one hand,this is because most of the Yuan emperors had a low level of culture,and it was difficult to read the whole book.On the other hand,the translation of Chinese classics in the Yuan Dynasty paid more attention to practicability,and the rulers only adopted the content translation that could be used as reference for their own political rule.Second,translation activities reflect the characteristics of the participation of multiple ethnic groups.The officials involved in translation activities include not only Han,but also semis and Mongols,which itself is a process of mutual learning,communication and integration among various ethnic groups.The translation of Yuan Dynasty Chinese classics played an important role in promoting the Yuan Dynasty emperor to learn Han culture and influenced the emperor’s ruling ideas and rectification activities.At the same time,the emperor sometimes published translations of Chinese classics for promotion,which promoted the spread of Han culture among different ethnic groups.
