The Shandong folk contract documents from the middle of the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China period truly reflected the social production conditions in Shandong,such as land and property sales,division of property,property exchange,etc.,which provided precious material evidence for the social history research in Shandong,and were the first-hand materials for academic research.Documents are ink marks written on paper,which vividly reflect the evolution of the form and writing style of folk contract documents in Shandong Province from the mid Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China period.These documents were mostly written by ordinary working people and lower class literati,and are valuable materials for studying ancient Chinese writing.This article mainly focuses on the folk contract documents collected by the Qilu Architectural Culture Research Center of Shandong Jianzhu University from the mid Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China period in Shandong region,and conducts a systematic study from a writing perspective.This article is mainly divided into four parts.The first part mainly focuses on the organization and analysis of folk contract documents in Shandong region from the mid Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China period,with a total of 695 representative documents sorted out.Classify according to the content,era,and region of Shandong contract documents,and analyze the format,wording,and sealing rules of various documents.The second part is to study the writers of Shandong folk contract documents.In most contracts,except for those signed by the person signing the contract,there is the presence of a proxy.This section mainly explores the social background of the generation of proxy calligraphers,analyzes the types of identity of proxy calligraphers,and the significance of the writers of folk contract documents in the history of calligraphy.The third part is a study on the writing of folk contract documents in Shandong region.Firstly,elaborate on the writing style of the document,as well as the style and writing characteristics used in writing.Secondly,examine the phenomenon of mixed use of traditional and simplified characters and common characters in documents,and finally analyze the cultural environment that affects the writing of documents.The folk contract documents in Shandong region are designed for practicality,with regular script and running regular script as the main fonts.The artistic level is not considered in the writing process,and the writing speed is often emphasized.The writing is clear and clear,avoiding complexity and simplicity,forming the natural and simple calligraphy art characteristics of contract documents.By studying the writing of folk contract documents in the Shandong region from the mid Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China period,we can not only understand their calligraphy artistic characteristics,analyze the differences between document writing and mainstream calligraphy art at that time,but also glimpse the social life and cultural and artistic aesthetic tendencies during the Qing and Republic of China periods.The fourth part mainly elaborates on the value and significance of Shandong folk contract documents during the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period.The folk contract documents of Shandong during the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period not only provide a glimpse into the daily writing situation of people at that time,but also provide researchers with the opportunity to use first-hand historical materials to fill the gap left by ancient calligraphy history.The innovation of this thesis is to conduct a systematic study on the form,style,seal usage,and writer of daily written contract documents,providing a new perspective for the study of calligraphy history from a sociological perspective.
