Self-portrait photography has a long history.After the invention of photography in 1839,photographers began to turn their eyes to themselves and explore themselves in the lens.Self-portrait photography is different from the simple self-portrait.The photographer uses various artistic means such as makeup,clothing and performance to complete the re-shaping of identity,appears in front of the camera as the identity of others,stares at himself as "the other",and transmits ideas to the audience through the lens language.Dressing is one of the important ways to express the concept of self-portrait photography,which is used to explore their own value and reshape their identity.This paper discusses self-portrait photography in costume,combs the relationship between self-portrait photography in costume and self-portrait photography from the perspective of art history,and discusses the existence and development of self-portrait photography in costume and self-portrait photography in the two different contexts of traditional photography and contemporary photography.Taking the typical works of several photographers such as Cindy Sherman and Taimasa Morimura as samples,this paper attempts to analyze and discuss the remolding,regeneration and diversified forms of expression of the characters’ images in selfie photography.The graduation project "Self-portrait of Imitation artist" expounds the creative concept and creative methods of self-portrait photography.In the graduation creation,based on the theme of identity,the author dressed up to interpret the images of painter Frida Kahlo,polka-dot artist Yayoi Kusama and other artists,and incorporated new technologies into the post-production to present a more unique and rich visual experience.Self-portrait photography in costume has a powerful artistic expression.The author explores deeply its expression and development space through practice,providing more possibilities for the innovative application of self-portrait photography in costume. |
