The natural beauty of plant forms is in harmony with the natural clay nature of pottery,with its diverse forms,rich textures,brilliant colors,and the rhythm and rhythmic beauty of which are often metaphorical for a warm,vibrant sense of life,bringing many sources of inspiration and performance materials for pottery creators.With the development of China’s ceramic art and cultural exchanges,the creative expression of pottery has been diversified and integrated,and the expression and application of plant forms in the creation of pottery modelling and decorative techniques have been changing and enriching over time.Through collecting and integrating the relevant theoretical research on plant forms and analyzing the concepts and expressions of excellent ceramic artists at home and abroad in exploring plant forms in ceramic art creation.Drawing inspiration from the plant forms in the natural environment and the future plant forms in digital art,feeling the inner charm and imagination space of the growth and change of plant forms,in the graduation creation series "Hidden Harmony",combining personal conceptions and emotional expressions,using the material characteristics of Shiwan pottery clay,decorative techniques and compound glaze colors,thinking about the process and aesthetic way of plant forms in the creation of Shiwan pottery.In the process of forming,glazing and firing,he gains practical experience in the creation of his works,and further explores the natural beauty and charm of plants in the creation of Shiwan pottery.This study discusses the aesthetic meaning and expressive power of plant forms in pottery creation,explores the flexible and plastic clay nature of Shiwan pottery and the flowing and gorgeous natural characteristics of glaze,expands new perspectives and diversified presentation effects of plant forms in Shiwan pottery creation,and adds cases for inheriting and innovating Shiwan pottery.
