The Research On Beauty Of Form Of Chinese Books’ Design

Books are the treasure of human civilization, and the ladders of human progress.Our books, with long history of their forms, have made a great contribution to thetransmission of human civilization. With the development of modern science andtechnology, and the rapid acceleration of the life rhythm, people are searching for aconcept of convenient way of life, which also penetrated into the field ofinformation’s transmission. The popularization of the network and the extensiveapplication of electronic publications also changed the single way of knowledgeacquisition by traditional publications. The modern electronic media, through themodern science and technology, give people new feelings on visual, auditory, tactileand other senses, which also brought enormous challenge to the traditional papermedia. What we’re more and more concerned is that how to make books morereasonable and new in their designs and forms, which can be penetrated into ourcultural life. Under this circumstance, designers are trying to enlarge their own designideas, so that the books forms’ design is not only to convey the contents of the book,but also to express the extension of their forms and contents. Most researches aboutbooks’ cover are according to the outer forms of format and the crafts’ of the materials.The articles, which can not only convey the contents of the books, also make athorough analysis of the beauty of lay-out and the combination of meaning andrhythm is rare. This paper, through in-depth analysis of, for example, the spine, layoutand main form of the books, and the deep cultural meaning to find the aspects of thebeauty of books. Through the methods of both analysis and deduction and drawing onprevious research experience, the paper makes a thorough inquiry of the rhythm, theblank, and human nature design to expound how to realize the creation anddevelopment of books’ design in further.This paper is divided into five parts. The introduction part mainly introduced ourbooks’ shape design, innovation, and its significance, which lay the basis for thefollowing contents. The first chapter mainly introduced Chinese books’ shapedevelopment and evolution. This chapter is divided into three sections, the first section briefly describes book design and configuration of book reviews. Section twodescribes the ancient Chinese books shape development and artistic features. Thethird section describes the design patterns of Chinese modern books.The second chapter deeply analyzes the morphological structure elements of bookdesign. The first section is the introduction to visual elements of books’ shape. Thesecond section introduces the visual aesthetic elements of books shape.The third chapter is the main part of the paper, analyzing the elements ofinnovation of modern books’ shape. The first section introduces the new changes offorms of shape’s design. The second introduces the new of books format design. Thethird section is the introduction to the inner changes of books’ design.The fourth chapter introduces to the design’s trends of the books’ shape, andpromotes the concept of people-oriented and green design. This chapter focuses onthe future impact of the concept book on books’ design.This paper is trying to put forward the measures to promote the design andinnovation by using the analysis of theory and the real cases. I hope that the views inthis paper can make al little contribution to the field of design and publishing.
