| Under the background of an era to strengthen cultural confidence and to promote excellent Chinese culture,cultural variety shows,as a powerful channel for cultural communication,shoulder the significant duty of guiding audiences to be confident in culture and promote social and cultural development.China in the Classics,a cultural variety show launched in 2021,makes bold attempts with regard of production ideas and communication contents,which interprets different show contents through the transformation of show fields,whose discourse expression mode constructed by the host along with the transformation of program fields has been recognized by the audience,and whose cultural connotations of language satisfied the audience with both entertainment and knowledge,filled the audience’s cultural blind spot,inspired the audience’s new visual feeling,and realized the creative transformation of the communication of Chinese excellent traditional culture and the innovative development of cultural variety shows.Therefore,from the perspective of ’field’,this paper conducts a research on the host’s register construction in the cultural variety show,China in the Classics.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part explains relevant contents such as the theory of field,the field of cultural variety shows;the generation and development of China in the Classics,program creation,and host positioning.The second part starts with the program field of China in the Classics,analyzes the external mechanism and internal motivation of the production of the field,and studies the conversion modes and functions of the three types of the program field:the media field,the drama field and the interview field.The third part mainly focuses on the influence of field switching on the host’ register,among which includes the factors of register construction,the role shaping of the subject of register and the register function.The fourth part analyzes the register construction strategy of the host of China in the Classics,mainly from these three aspects:discourse space,role space and meaning space,to further explain the strategy of register construction of the host in this show.The fifth part mainly conducts deep thoughts from innovation and prospect those two aspects in terms of the host’s register construction in the cultural variety show,China in the Classics.Based on the above analysis,the three major fields of China in the Classics,namely,media field,drama field and interview field,are independent of each other but can transform from each other,whose field conversion mode and function to change will certainly have an impact on the factors of register construction,register role shaping and register function of the host.The host should choose different register construction strategies according to the characteristics of various fields to achieve his own communicative purposes,which enables him to give full play to his unique cultural advantages in different fields to achieve the social value of program communication in order to promote the program contents to a more vivid and three-dimensional direction.China in the Classics is a useful attempt to carry out contemporary dissemination of traditional classics culture,where the host undertakes important responsibilities.Therefore,the research on the construction of the host’s register is helpful to improve his own ability to integrate information and language expression ability,meet the development needs of current communication activities and the audience’s diversified aesthetic expectations.The author also hopes to provide some reference for the creative practice of hosts in cultural variety shows through the above research. |
