The Narrative Function Of Props In Ethnic Dance Creation

The use of props in dance creation has its unique characteristics,from being originally practical in life to being presented in dance works.Its "narrative" function is reflected in the editor’s perception and understanding of it in dance creation.Props,as an extension of dance language,run through the whole and revolve around the core,reflecting the authenticity of people’s lives and enriching the artistry of dance creation.From the surface to the inside,they demonstrate the uniqueness of props.This article takes the narrative function of props in ethnic dance creation as the starting point.Starting from ethnic dance creation,it adopts a narrative perspective and takes the author’s original dance work Yi Fang Qing Chang as the research object.It analyzes and interprets the connection between props and narrative,and combines the creative insights and reflections from one’s own learning and research process.Using practical experience and theoretical analysis methods,it deeply analyzes the props "dustpan" in the work.The main body of this article is divided into four chapters: Chapter1,The Application of Props in Ethnic Dance Creation,which mainly elaborates on the significance,function,and narrative nature of props in ethnic dance creation.Starting from the ontology of props,a summary and analysis of props were conducted,and the unique function of props in creation was demonstrated through "borrowing narrative".Chapter2,The Narrative Relationship of Props in Ethnic Dance Creation in Yi Fang Qing Chang.This chapter first elaborates on the creation and overview of the work in ethnic dance creation,and then takes the original dance work Yi Fang Qing Chang as an example to explore the narrative relationship of props in ethnic dance creation,including "Structural function,virtual and real,language".Chapter 3,The Reflection of Props in the Narrative Environment in the Creation of Yi Fang Qing Chang.This chapter mainly starts from " Prop Selection "," Prop Arrangement ",and " Prop Presentation " to elaborate and analyze the different narrative functions that props exhibit in the narrative environment.At the same time,it indicates the importance of props in the narrative environment and their positive role in narrative development.Chapter 4,The Creative Perception of Props in the Narration of Yi Fang Qing Chang.This chapter is the author’s reflection and summary of the topic based on original works and personal creative experience.It is also a personal perspective on the unique emotions conveyed by props in ethnic dance creation.This article starts from reality,combines theory with practice,and conducts an academic exploration of the narrative function of props in ethnic dance creation by combining the original work Yi Fang Qing Chang.Using props as the narrative "traction line" and adopting the "emotions" of ethnic dance creation,using objects as the reason and borrowing materials for narrative,it adds a thin force to the future narrative creation of ethnic dance.
