| During the Anti-Japanese War,Guilin had the reputation of "Anti-Japanese War Cultural City".Due to its advantages such as economy,education and geography,Guilin has become the first choice of many woodmakers.Woodmakers from all over the world gathered like migratory birds in Guilin,where politics is relatively stable and the climate is suitable.The famous woodcutters in Guangxi include: Li Hua,Lai Shaoqi,Huang Xinbo,Liu Jianan,etc.Their arrival made the Anti-Japanese War art blossom everywhere,and many far-reaching woodcut associations came into being.With the belief in the war of resistance,they actively engaged in woodcut creation.Various woodcut works of the Anti-Japanese War combine traditional folk art characteristics and modern creative techniques to reveal the plot of the enemy,praise the heroic battles of our army,and inspire the wisdom of the people,so that more people can participate in the national revolution of the war of resistance against Japanese aggression and national salvation.It has become the "mark" of The Times and records the history of Guilin Anti-Japanese War Cultural City.This paper is divided into four chapters,mainly from the development of Chinese woodcut prints,the background and development of woodcut prints in Guilin Anti-Japanese War Cultural City,the theme classification of the works,the artistic characteristics and the multi-dimensional value of the works.The first chapter analyzes the development of Chinese woodcut,divided into three parts,respectively,the source,development and rebirth of woodcut prints;the second chapter analyzes the overall overview of woodcut prints in Guilin Anti-Japanese War Cultural City,divided into three parts.The first part analyzes the background of the history of the struggle,the determination of art,and the analysis of the development of the city,including the analysis of the main woodcut groups and exhibitions,major publications and monographs,major woodcutters and representative works;the third part summarizes the classification of the themes,divided into three categories,social situation and labor production.The first part is to analyze the characteristics of the woodcut prints of the combination of cartoon and woodcut,the combination of tradition and modernity,the second part and the third part is to analyze the composition,varied lines,and fresh and simple colors.The fourth chapter section discusses the multi-dimensional value of woodcut printmaking art in Guilin Anti-Japanese War Cultural City,which are cultural value,aesthetic value and social value respectively.Cultural value includes three aspects: promoting social cognition,promoting public education and shaping personal character;aesthetic value includes discussing the unity of reason,form and image;and social value includes three parts:anti-Japanese spirit,critical spirit and patriotic spirit. |
