Application Of Multi-version Overprint In Woodcut Prints

The process of engraving is complicated,and every step in the production can not be made a mistake.From the beginning to the final printing is a gradual process.This process requires an artist to have strict logical thinking and a better attitude.The creative thought of an artist comes from his life experience,but the selection of the themes of the creation is still necessary for the artist to screen and create.First of all,through reading the relevant books and watching the excellent prints to improve their own creative accomplishment,help themselves to establish the theme of creation,and to understand the history and present situation of the related subjects and techniques.Then through personal artistic creation try different performance techniques,explore new ways of expression in the creation,try to seek breakthrough and innovation in performance techniques.Finally,in his own printmaking use of early techniques to try to find a suitable way of expression,deepen the connotation of works,do have characteristics,thus forming a personal artistic expression style.In the postgraduate stage,I also participated in making a large number of silk screen prints in addition to learning woodcut prints.In making screen prints,it was found that the color of the two colors of different colors would get third colors together,and the third colors were very subtle,and the multiple prints had rich color and texture changes.The effect of color overprint attracted me deeply.It will be a new woodcut engraving language if we can use the screen printing printmaking principle and multi edition overprint effect in wood engraving.Later,through continuous attempts,exploration,summary,accumulation,and finally able to skillfully screen prints these advantages and features used in black and white wood carving and chromatic wood carving.Most of the printmaking artists in print creation,often only specialize in one edition,ignoring the other edition,the author believes that in print creation should try to learn more other edition.Each version is interlinked,and each version has its own unique language,can combine the advantages of other versions with their own version.Broaden their creative ideas,improve the level of printmaking,promote the development of printmaking.
