| Yan Ge has been called "the most anticipated novelist of the post-80 s generation".At present, most of the studies on Yan Ge put her into the "post-80s" writers for comparison and induction, and care about the creative style of the "post-80s" writers from a holistic perspective. However,Yan Ge not only has the style characteristics of "post-80" writers, but also has a piece of its own spiritual hometown-"Pingle Town"."Pingle Town" is not only the place where she grew up,but also the place she is familiar with and sentimentally attached to."Pingle Town" often appears in Yan Ge’s novels as the background or environment of the story as a geographical space.Although Yan Ge’s novels do not have a complete and clear time line throughout, they have a strong sense of space: they attach importance to the construction of space and take space as an important Angle to tell stories and shape characters’ images. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, this thesis is mainly divided into four chapters. The first chapter is the spatial form of Pingle Town.Yan Ge has a natural affinity for Pingle Town,Sichuan Province, where she has lived since childhood. The spatial form of "Pingle Town" is an important supplementary text background in the novel. This chapter from Pingle town geographical space and social space two aspects.Section 1 Geographical space.Combined with three kinds of natural geography, namely, rolling mountains, flowing rivers, climate and planting, the role of geographical form in Yan Ge’s novels is analyzed.Section two: Social space.Starting from the complex development background of urbanization, this paper explores the living and ideological status of the people in Pingle Town under the process of urbanization. The second chapter analyzes the physical space in Yan Ge’s novels from three perspectives. One is the narrative unit in space: place. As the most basic and common unit of space narration in Yan Ge’s novels, place carries the functions of shaping character image, telling story plot and creating novel atmosphere. The second is the scope of space narrative: boundary. There are obvious conflicts and confrontations between the new and the old, between the old and the young in Yan Ge’s novels, which often become an important yardstick of identity and exclusivity. The third is to explore the combination of multiple Spaces in the novel. The characters in Yan Ge’s novels are often diversified,so the literary works often express the characters’ personality through more than one kind of space, thus showing the combination and arrangement between different Spaces. The Chapter Three spiritual space.According to the theory of "subjective space" in spatial narration, the spiritual characteristics of the characters in Yan Ge’s novels are divided into three categories: the breakdown of individual spirit; The pursuit of confused spirit;Backward conventional thinking. On the basis of these three categories, this paper analyzes and explores the causes of the spiritual space of these three types of characters and their final destiny. The fourth chapter explores the spatial narrative strategy of Yan Ge’s novels. The strategies of space narrative are explored from four perspectives: nonlinear narrative, dilution of time clue, fuzzy narrator and spatial representation.Nonlinear narrative through the theme-juxtaposition and classification of two typical nonlinear narrative types to analyze the novel narrative methods. The dilution of time clues to explore the narrative characteristics of Yan Ge’s novels that place more emphasis on space than time.Analyze how the author pieced together a complete article context from scattered time points in the chaotic time lines. The fuzzy narrator is mainly carried out through the analysis of the unreliable narrator in Yan Ge’s novels, and finally the use of the narrative strategy of "spatial representation" in Yan Ge’s novels is highlighted. The epilogue. The use of space narration in Yan Ge’s novels is not only a breakthrough of the traditional text’s emphasis on time and light space, but also a new narrative method explored by the writer on local narration and the inheritance of national values, and a diversified attempt and effort made by the writer for the traditional narrative. |
