contained therein had a profound impact on the literary and artistic world,as well as the history of Western thought.Camus’ novels, especially "The Outsider" and "The pestis" also aroused a wave in the literary world because of their humanistic spirit and existential thinking. In 1957,the Swedish Academy of Literature awarded Camus the Nobel Prize for Literature, and Camus became the youngest winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in the history of French literature. As a writer,he always shoulders the mission of the times. As a thinker,he always calls on people to strive to resist in pursuit of love and happiness.Such a thinker with both logical thinking and artistic creation abilities deserves in-depth exploration of his literary and artistic ideas. Therefore, this paper aims to explore Camus’ literary and artistic ideas based on resistance consciousness. The paper is divided into four parts. The first part starts with the background of Camus’ life, examines the influence of social and historical cultural environments on the formation of his absurd thoughts, and briefly outlines the background and connotation of Camus’ absurd thoughts.Camus’ reflection on absurdity raises the question of how to face absurdity. The answer to how to solve the absurd situation can only be-resistance.Camus’ reflection on absurd feelings runs through his entire rebellious thinking, and absurdity is the reason for his rebellious consciousness. From this,by analyzing the background of Camus’ absurd thoughts,we can better understand his thinking and attitude towards absurdity, and lead to the early reasons for his resistance to his ideas. The second part is an analysis and summary of Camus’ rebellious consciousness, mainly based on his works. The idea of resistance was formed by Camus’ later contemplation of absurdity, incorporating more realistic considerations of politics, ethics, morality, and other aspects at that time. The author divides resistance consciousness into two parts for discussion. One is Camus’ criticism of other resistance paths in "The Rebellion",and the other is to explore the resistance ideas contained in Camus’ literary works and extract the core concepts of his resistance consciousness. The establishment of a rebellious consciousness indicates that Camus not only focused his attention on exploring the state of human existence, but also guided humanity on how to survive; The ultimate core concept of resistance consciousness is humanitarianism and Southern thought, and the ultimate goal is to guide people to obtain love and happiness.Camus’ humanitarianism and Southern thought complement each other.Southern thought is based on the spirit of humanitarianism and respects human nature. At the same time, this spirit is expressed through limited and restrained Southern thought. The humanitarian spirit also had a profound impact on the fields of "love" and "happiness" in Camus’ literary thought. The third part is the focus of this article, which is a review of Camus’ literary and artistic ideas.Camus’ literary thought is based on a discussion of resistance consciousness,so it is summarized by combining the arguments related to resistance consciousness and the interpretation of Camus’ artistic works and novels.Previous research on Camus’ philosophy and art has mostly focused on the book "The Myth of Sisyphus",and research on literary theory has also placed greater emphasis on the analysis of his novel texts. This article explores his literary views from the perspective of resistance consciousness, with a focus on "The Rebel".Combining with Camus’ rebellious consciousness, his main ideas in literary and artistic thought are "art is the purest form of rebellion","the greatness of art is born from the tension between beauty and pain",and "the ultimate goal of art is love and happiness".Gradually,he constructs the theoretical framework of Camus’ literary and artistic thought, and elaborates on Camus’ literary and artistic views by transferring and comparing the views of other literary theorists. The fourth part discusses the significance of Camus’ literary and artistic ideas, mainly analyzing and exploring them from three aspects: philosophy, literature, and aesthetics. The philosophical impact lies in providing guidance for the survival and spiritual difficulties of modern life, guiding people to find meaning in life and lead a happier life. The literary influence lies in the absurdity proposed by Camus, which influenced the emergence of absurd literature and the development of postmodern art,and has an indispensable impact on contemporary Chinese literary creation. On the aesthetic level, absurdity has emerged as a new aesthetic category, affecting people’s aesthetic experience and the creation of contemporary new forms of art.Camus believed that human desire for meaning and the silence of the universe are two incompatible pieces of puzzle, and it is absurd to force them together.People cannot truly escape a world that is always filled with meaningless and absurd.Only by searching for the meaning of existence in the absurd is eternal resistance. The essence of humanity is insignificant, the world is meaningless, and meaning always arises through resistance and action.Camus’ literary and artistic ideas are permeated by the spirit of resistance throughout, inspiring people to actively live in meaningless situations and possessing profound humanitarian characteristics. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Camus, absurdly, resistance, Literary and artistic ideas, humanitarianism | | Related items |
