Criticism On Alienation Of Capitalist Digital Labor

Capitalist digital labor is deeply integrated with people’s labor and life through digital technology,and at the same time exploited in all directions.In the face of some Western scholars questioning the applicability of Marx’s labor theory of value to explain digital capitalism,we need to return to the framework of Marxist political economy critique,reduce digital labor to a general labor process for examination,and expose the logical leap from data content to capital value-added,only in this way can we see the relationship between modern digital technology and capital,recognize the logic of techno-rationalism,and dismantle the architecture of contemporary digital capitalism.On the road to building socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,an in-depth understanding of the nature of digital labor is the theoretical key to meeting the challenges and opportunities of the digital economy,and is an important step in developing a high-quality digital economy in China.First,the connotation of digital labor is explained.There are different definitions of digital labor,and the academic community has not yet formed a unified definition.By identifying several common perceptions of digital labor in academic circles,a more comprehensive and complete understanding of digital labor is formed,and then the connotation of digital labor is explained on the basis of Marx’s three elements of labor and the theory of labor alienation.Secondly,based on Marx’s theory of labor alienation,the contemporary manifestations of capitalist digital labor alienation are explained,revealing that the exploitation of human beings by digital capitalism has become more and more hidden and the alienation of human beings has taken on new characteristics;moreover,capitalist digital labor alienation has expanded the conflict between human beings and technology,intensified the imbalance of labor-management relations and even triggered the global digital ecological crisis.In addition,the hegemony of digital capitalism over the landscape of daily life and the all-round exploitation of people’s lives also obscure the alienation of digital labor and indirectly lead to the alienation of digital labor.Of course,the most direct reason is that the market of digital labor has not yet been developed and matured.Finally,through the critique of the alienation of capitalist digital labor,an attempt is made to unearth contemporary values conducive to the development of digital labor in China,including promoting the coordinated development of capital and digital technology,adhering to the principle of distributing digital labor according to its contribution,promoting the universal sharing of digital information and improving the digital labor market.Therefore,taking Marxism as a theoretical guide,it is the value aim of this study to critically view the development of digital labor and actively explore from it the significance for the healthy development of digital labor in China.
