Investigation And Research On Shandong Folk Dance Cat Butterfly Wealth

Shandong provincial intangible cultural heritage-Shandong folk dance cat butterfly Wealth was first created in the early 1930 s in Jinan Tianqiao District,Wojiazhuang,and the intangible heritage project is currently being protected and performed by Jinan Tianqiao District Tikou Street Office and Dikouzhuang Community Resident Committee.The "cat butterfly" is the harmonic of octogenarian and old-aged,which symbolizes longevity,and "Wealthy" is the peony,which means wealth and good fortune.During the Lantern Festival,local Yangge teams perform this folk dance with a complete storyline in order to celebrate the year’s harvest and pray for good luck and happiness in the coming year.In this thesis,we firstly explain the geographical overview and cultural origin of this folk dance from three aspects:ecological environment,human factors,and history and culture of Cat Butterfly Wealth;Secondly,with the help of Panofsky’s pictorial analysis theory,the folk dance is described in terms of six aspects: storyline,performance program,role-play,movement vocabulary,performance costume and dance props,and the art form of combining dance,lantern and martial arts in this form of costume play is analyzed pictorially,and the unique contemporary social value of this is derived-aesthetic value with beauty as the root,cultural value with deep meaning,and entertainment value with dance to achieve happiness;Lastly,he will talk about the history of the Cat Butterfly Wealth and its contemporary development based on its socio-historical evolution over the past hundred years,and give some suggestions for its inheritance and development based on the existing protection policies and development measures.
