Since 1915,when Zhao Yuanren composed the Peace March,the curtain was raised on the Chinese composing their own piano music.During this period,works of various genres,themes and styles have emerged,but for two-piano works,the number has been relatively small.In this paper,we have selected a contemporary work for two pianos,"After Spring",which was written by a Chinese American composer,Ms.Bun-Ching Lam.In this work,Bun-Ching Lam meticulously presents the listener with a picture of the coming of spring,which contains the unique charm of Chinese style.This article takes the work "After Spring" for two pianos as the object of study,the article firstly introduces Bun-Ching Lam and the background of the work for two pianos,then analyzes the composition method of the work from the music itself,and then focuses on its performance technique to explore the unique Chinese flavor of the work.Because of the novelty of this work’s acoustics and its profound and mysterious mood,the author decided to conduct an in-depth study and analysis of this work,so that "After Spring" can be known to more music lovers. |
