| The Third Symphony "Le Divin Poème" was created in 1903,which is Scriabin’s great attempt to combine music with philosophy after he came into contact with the thought of "mysticism".The music contains rich philosophical ideas. The work focuses on the struggle between "God’s slave" and "free man".This article mainly explores and studies the musical structure, harmony progression, and timbre organization of this work. The musical form structure is a three movement sonata symphonic divertimento structure,in which the first movement is a sonata form with the nature of "divertimento into single chapter",the second movement is a sonata form without expansion part, and the third movement is a standardized sonata form. The work starts with the introduction theme, and through the development technique of "theme transformation",the theme melodies of each movement are sequentially derived.Through unity, changes are sought, and development is achieved through changes, making the entire work have the structural characteristics of a "single chapter suite".In terms of harmony,Scriabin emphasized the process of semitonization through the alternation of major and minor modes and the use of variable chords, avoided the main chord through hindrance, did not solve the problem of belonging to the seventh chord, and carried out the opposite function, which reflected his inheritance of the late Romantic harmony techniques.By highlighting the horizontal and vertical emphasis on the fourth interval structure through the use and implementation of variable chords,it reflects its initial attempt to use "mysterious chords" as a pitch organization technique for late harmonic styles.Using atypical lead durations in the use of their preferred durations. |
