In the course of the study of Li Sao,successive generations of scholars have attached great importance to its lofty literary status. They all deeply studied the significance of Li Sao to the literature during the Warring States Period and Chu Dynasty from the perspectives of epochal, regional and literary aspects,as well as its far-reaching influence on later literature.Apparently, the literary of Li Sao is not only related to the treacherous imagination of nature, but also related to the complete and profound content and expression. The expression it uses make Bi and Xing Skills bridged from the Book of Songs to the Songs of Chu.This technique of expression also became an important cornerstone of later literary works.Bi and Xing Skills in Songs of Chu is a kind of artistic imagination, which is the inheritance and development of artistic association since the era of the Book of Songs. The implication and generality of the symbolic system has brought transformation and progress to the space of imagination in literature.Meanwhile,it is the best form of Qu Yuan’s artistic appeal and aesthetic expression.Relatively speaking,if you refer to the latest cognitive linguistic theory and use metaphor to analyze, you will get a deeper and clearer understanding. Therefore,it is necessary to introduce George Lakoff’s conceptual metaphor to deeply grasp the metaphorical world in Li Sao.Therefore, this article will focus on the metaphorical system study of Li Sao.The full text will be divided into the following four parts:The introduction section discusses the reasons of the topic selection, summarizes the reference literature used, and summarizes the research ideas.Following the path of the system of metaphor, symbolism, and metaphor, this article summarizes the expression and artistic characteristics of Li Sao,and briefly summarizes the meaning of Lakoff’s conceptual metaphor.By using the existing framework of conceptual metaphor, the metaphors in Li Sao are divided into three categories: structural metaphor, positional metaphor, and ontological metaphor. The first chapter mainly discusses the extensive use of structural metaphor in Li Sao.Different orientations reflect different cultural information, which gives them metaphorical connotations.Structural metaphor is an important type of conceptual metaphor, which refers to the construction of another concept through one concept.Although the cognitive domains of these two concepts are different, there are regular corresponding relationships between their respective componentsand. Then analyzes the correspondence between its origin domain and destination domain. The structural metaphors in Li Sao include metaphors for personal information such as origin, birthday, and name,as well as metaphors for political ideals contained in road and running metaphors for the concept of time contained in day and night and coming. The second chapter discusses the orientation metaphor displayed in Li Sao,starting from its own appearance, then talking about the metaphorical connotation of the natural orientation of the south, east, north, west, and finally talking about the advance and retreat of life choices,Qu Yuan’s spiritual pursuit and psychological experience. The third chapter focuses on the analysis and study of the ontological metaphor of Li Sao.Ontological metaphor refers to the perception of abstract and vague intangible concepts such as thoughts, emotions, psychological activities, events, and states as concrete and tangible entities, even the human body itself, which is to connect two seemingly unrelated things through their external context and internal meaning. The ontological metaphors in Li Sao contain several types: plants and beauty metaphors, birds and beasts metaphors, and sage metaphors. These metaphors often have opposing meanings: the fragrant plants is opposed to the evil plants;the excellent birds is opposed to the insidious birds;the beauty is opposed to the ordinary women. All those things constitute a metaphorical world of opposites.
