An Interactional Linguistics Study On Sentence Final Particles Of Hantai Dialect In Shaanxi

The research on particles has always been valued by the academic circles,and the research on dialect particles has always been a major and difficult point of attention in the academic circles.From the perspective of research results,most of the studies use traditional ideas to examine dialect particles.For the research on particles in Hantai dialect in Shaanxi,no book has been written by anyone yet,and only some scholars have described the grammatical rules of some particles with dialect characteristics,and the research results are relatively scarce.At the same time,the research of former sages on particles in Hantai dialect mostly stays in traditional linguistics,and there is a trend of de-contextualization,which makes the research results subjective.Based on this,this study adheres to the dynamic grammatical view,takes a close-up view of sentence final particles in Shaanxi Hantai dialect from the new perspective of interactive linguistics,and makes a comprehensive and systematic analysis and induction of their pragmatic functions.The purpose is not limited to the traditional view of grammar as a static and closed system,but focuses on exploring the emergence and evolution of semantics,functions and structures in communication from a dynamic perspective,exploring how the functions of sentence final particles are given in interaction,and how the functions of particles emerge from conversation,to a certain extent,enriching the research vision of sentence final particles in Hantai dialect.This study conducts qualitative and quantitative analysis on the collected natural spoken corpus of Hantai dialect through conversation analysis and corpus analysis.Summarize the single-use and joint-use sentence final particles in Hantai dialect,and discuss them in sentence categories.After analysis,it is found that in addition to the inherent functions of particles themselves,the single-use Hantai dialect sentence final particles have five aspects of pragmatic interaction functions in spoken communication,namely: sentence completion function,turn organization function,interactive demand function,information highlighting function and speech act function.Among them,the function of sentence completion can be divided into perfecting sentence components and conveying complete emotion.The turn organization function is divided into opening the turn,keeping the turn,and giving up the turn.The interactive demand function includes pointing out facts,softening the tone,enhancing the tone,drawing the attention of the hearer,shortening the communication distance between the two parties,seeking approval,requesting confirmation,and asking for knowledge.The information highlighting function marks the speaker’s position and attitude,and can be divided into positive information highlighting function and negative information highlighting function.The speech act function is embodied in the speaker’s speech acts such as suggestion,persuasion,blame,complaint,and greeting to the listener.The overall function of the concatenated sentence final particles is sometimes the synthesis of the functions of the two particles,and sometimes produces new pragmatic functions,but in most cases it focuses on the pragmatic function of the latter modal word.The interactive function of the particles at the end of the sentence in Hantai dialect is a part of communication,which is shaped by the environment in which the verbal communication is located,and conforms to the essential attribute of the "synergistic behavior" of language interaction.At the same time,different interactive functions have a negative effect on the entire conversational communication,which has the dynamic nature of interaction.This study further enriches the research results of sentence final particles in Hantai dialect.At the same time,it re-examines sentence final particles in Hantai dialect through the theory of interactive linguistics,and provides a new perspective for the study of sentence final particles in Hantai dialect.
